Miami Heat Dame Trade Ideas and Rumors (1 Viewer)

Butler = also the guy they're trying to build around to get a ring before he ages out.

Dame's looking at the worst of all worlds in that respect. It's not going to be "his" team, but he's going to be the one held accountable for any struggles the Heat have when he gets there.

If you're Butler, you've got to love it. Your get-out-of-jail-free card is intentionally trying to fly out of the deck into your hand. The Heat getting close right now has been enough to make Butler beloved, but if they don't win next year, the focus will all fall on Dame not putting them over the top.

And I'm not sure, seeing what I have on his social media, that Dame's quite ready for that level of criticism.

Looks like there is a lot of logic in it, but I have one question: Do you really think Jimmy gives a shit about getoutofjail card? Really?

Obviously the Heat would have to get something done with the Thunder to guarantee the pick they owe them to convey in 2026 and the Nets would have to put this kind of value on Herro but if they did and you were Joe, would you pull the trigger on this trade?

Sean Marks isn’t laying down picks for ~$170M in future salary for meh players.

OKC doesn't need to be involved. The PHX 25 pick just needs to go to Miami & the Heat can send out the 24, 26, 28 & 30 picks

But I would do this deal

Edit: OKC would still have to be involved because right now the 2026 pick is in play so it definitely can't be dealt. Miami owes OKC their 2025 pick lotto protected and if it doesn't convey then it's unprotected in 2026.

No they don't. Miami's 26 can be conditional upon the 25 conveying to OKC. If it doesn't convey, then Portland can have the Miami 25 pick

I would pull the trigger on this trade. And the only reasons I wouldn’t are if any of the following scenarios occur:

- TOR suddenly thinks the next 3 years is their window and they offer Barnes

- BRK is good, and they offer Simmons, Clowney, Whitehead, and 4 1sts

With all Dame has done for us, I would want us to do right by him, but we can’t trade him for nothing and he knows that. Ben’s contract will be over before we know it, I’m not really high on Jaquez, but I do really like Jovic.

Having an extra 1st a year in 4 of the next 7 years is also as good as you can hope for. And that doesn’t take anything that comes back for Grant and Ant eventually.

I read the Mavs want a veteran center...we have one. Here we go. And add the draft picks in...as many as we can get. We can switch Herro and Lowry if we want a younger guy though he has more years left.

Flip Green and Hardaway's destinations, and give us all the picks, and that's not bad. Don't know that Dallas would give Green, Lively and a pick for Nurk and Herro, but if they would, I'd be down.

Scoot/Ant/Lowry
Sharpe/Green/Keon
Thybulle/Nas/Jaquez/Rupert
Grant/Murray/Jovic/Walker/Knox
Holmes/Lively/Brown/Reath

That would be an overloaded roster. 4 dudes would have to get cut before the season. Knox, Keon, Brown and Reath, I'd guess.

“I read the Mavs want a veteran center”…then proceeds to come up with a trade that ignores everything else the Mavs need lol.

Mavs hang up right away. Getting rid of Holmes and Lively for Nurk makes them worse, not better. Lively was a lotto pick this year.

They also have no need for Herro. They have Kyrie and Doncic already. They want guys like Green or 3-D guys. Really, they’re stuck in the same position as us—talented guards, no adequate wings.

If Mark Cuban were stupid enough to do this deal, give me Josh Green and the Heat can keep Jaquez. We need a guy like Josh Green. He’s a good young 3-D guy that realistically could play the backup 3.

No way the Heat get away with this robbery.

You guys really think this is feasible? I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that Mavs would give up on Green and Lively when Luka could request a trade in the coming years. Herro and Nurk don’t put them any closer to contending—we saw how big of an impact DFS made for them.

Pretty much, after a Dame trade, this is what this team could look like next year:

Scoot/____/____
Shae/Green/Thybulle
Thybulle/Green/Walker/Jaquez
____/Jovic/Walker/Jaquez
Lively/____/____

with 3 unprotected 1sts, and this excludes anything we get from a trade for Grant and Ant or our 2024 lotto pick. If this is what the roster looks like going into our first post-Dame year, I’m EXCITED. Which is why Dallas wouldn’t be this stupid.

Thanks for your opinion. It means the world to me.

Time for a new 'do Pat. And lose the fucking bracelets already. You are like 100 years old.

This guy talks about Miami trading Herro somewhere, such as Charlotte, to get draft picks to send to the Trail Blazers.

This Miami Heat fans says "you do what you have to do to get Damian Lillard. The Heat need to take this serious because you're 2 weeks away from training camp."

cued up to 3:28.

Ernest keeps it real. He's the rare Heat fan that wants to trade everything possible to build a big 3.

he has the same thirsty energy as every heat fan—except he actually follows through by talking about what miami needs to do vs. 'we'll be patient muhahahahha' (which is such a pose).

Someone on x says that Dame talked Jaylen Brown into coming to Portland and Joe said no. That’s damning if true.
