I want our own name. Pioneers is nice to me
Naming a team that will never come. Love you guys
RealistThe stadium will have cushioned seats??? I might become a season ticket holder then!
Portland Pioneers sounds great.
Pessimist...

Well honestly i have known quite a bit about this but still i cannot tell you with any certainty there will be a team here in Portland. It's really weird how all this has played out. Everything has pretty much stopped. I think they were banking on at least a partial baseball season. Now even that seems unlikely with a couple teams now showing infections. No way. You don't know anything.

I think it hurts unfortunately, as perception is influential. The word i have heard is the conversations about considering Portland stopped fairly abruptly during this last summer when riots consumed the city.
Heck they still have riots nearly weekly and look at the state of the city right now? How is that going to attract a major league team in any sport?
That kind of publicity is never good.I think it hurts unfortunately, as perception is influential.
You guys are complaining about this like Covid never happened, and the Portland Diamond people control the timeline.

Yeah they were. Some heavy hitters in my crowd were doing pre jobs and were asking for logistics for both sites. They even started reserving tugs/barges and stocking steel. They don't do that unless they were in the discussion. Now "Running"? I honestly don't know? Portland has tried this before so i guess that always puts them in the running but that might not be serious contender? One thing is for certain Portland needs another large venue and it could do a bunch more than just baseball.Honestly that sucks. but honestly, I doubted Portland was seriously in the running anyways.
Baseball looks at their options and there several. But they could throw a change upHonestly that sucks. but honestly, I doubted Portland was seriously in the running anyways.
Or throw up some change?Baseball looks at their options and there several. But they could throw a change up

It’s MLB expansion time again, with another Portland ballpark plan unveiled
Gresham. LOL. Lloyd Center is just sitting there waiting to be demolished, and they are talking about Gresham.
If Seattle can get a NHL team, then Portland should get a baseball team. Same, same...right?!![]()
