Gee if only we haven’t been experiencing an absolute gutting of educational budgets since 1992! Weird how 33 years of republican tax policy has turned us into this.

The GOP is gutting education so in my opinion, they don't get to play the literacy card...they actually want to discourage academia from American culture and the science it brings to education in favor of theological culture where one book is the constitution and one man is the "Lord" When the separation of church and state is gone, you've become the Taliban.

Sorry but I don’t buy the argument that this is a republican problem. Grades K thru 12 are funded primarily by local and state governments. Oregon is a blue state and has been for many years.
