Obama vs. Romney: ROUND III

Romney has a perpetually constipated look on his face.

He got asked about military spending and he started talking about Massachusett's education

I think even R's would agree Romney is getting smoked

I know what you were referring to, I'm just saying it's such a common practice among politicians that it's almost become an accepted behavior.

ouch...barry has a plan...yeah, is that the "close Gitmo one"? oh, its the spontanious demonstration one? oh its blah blah blah

I think you're going to have to let go to the "close gitmo one" because promises made during a campaign aren't always something that can be done (AND it's not like he (or Romney) can just wave his hand and do stuff).

You're a Republican. Clinton probably didn't even excite you.

I'd vote for Obama, though, if I "truly" thought he had a plan that works. Over these past two years (I'm allowing some grace over the first two years) I sincerely haven't seen a thing. They're both correct in saying that we can't be a leader from an economically weak base.

Do you think that if it would have been Romney that had taken the baton from Bush that the country right now would be a better place?

Well, I think Romney would have been MUCH closer to a balance budget..and less national debt. This may be shallow thinking, but I think our debt has been a huge contributor towards our economic fears....and ensuing lack of growth.

DEFINITELY point Obama!

repped

Let's look at the President's two wins: PPACA and bin Laden. I'd submit that the first one wouldn't have been passed (which I personally think is better). Do you think that if Romney or McCain (or Palin!) had been President when SOCOM came to the President and said "we can get bin Laden...can we get your permission to do so?" that Romney, McCain or Palin would've said "No."?

"We have these things called aircraft carriers, governor, where planes land on them".

Here's what I don't get. Everyone now considers it a foregone conclusion that going into Iraq was a mistake. Why is there never talk of reparations for those hundreds of thousands of lost lives in that needless war? Here's one way to improve the US impression in the middle east.

you are thinking with a western mind set, they would see that as a sign of weakness

the US does not want to start paying reparations, because they'd then have to give $$ to African Americans, Japanese Americans (although my brain seems to think they did receive some kind of reparations for the internment camps), Native Americans, and others, etc.

What the US could do is do what we did with Germany and Japan after WWII, and funnel money into the area to help build it. However, don't do it for as long as they did in J and G, and don't stay there.

No kidding. Reverend Wright would be appalled!

4 years ago called, they want their talking point back.

;)

True enough. Obama ran from him faster than......faster than.... Hmmm.....the comparison escapes me.
