in fact one could make a salient argument that he is a terrible bench player because their record is so bad. empty stats. I would rather have the Griz' bench than RW et al on LAL. It's a no brainer Russ has hunted stats his whole career and he does work his ass off to do it, no question there.

My point is that I think there will eventually be a gap between 6 and 7 cuz a couple teams will pull away from the pack. I want to be one of those teams!

I pray we someday have a player coming off our bench putting up those kind of “empty stats”. I wish players on our bench would work their ass off trying to hunt down such numbers. Maybe we’d be above .500?

I don't really care about money. It ain't my money they're spending. I just might buy more tickets to that group though. Just sayin?

Who said anything about trading Dame?
What was said was “ I wish we had a player like that on our bench”. This is simple stuff really.
Are you now going to talk about contracts and cap? That isn’t what the conversation is about?

For some reason that made me miss CJ Elleby. He was a terrible player in a lot of ways but you could see he was busting his ass every minute he was on the floor.

Saw recently he is in the G-League. What a weird stretch that was. He had NO resason to get drafted. Very strange.

GPII and Trendon both scrapped their way from the G league into the NBA ....Elleby might do it in a couple seasons.....hell Alan Crabbe was in the G league last season.

a player like that named Russel Westbrook is being paid 47M...that's reality. You're talking about a fictitious player, and now you're saying I can't point out the reality of Westbrook's contract? Excuse me a moment, Jessica Alba is knocking at my door and she's horny for an old guy exactly like me; my wife is ok with it too

by the way, if we're busy wishing for fantasy bench players I can probably come up with dozens that are more attractive than Westbrook

And any one of them you want to wish for is just fine with me as long as they make the team better.
 
I am in Miami this week and caught the end of the Heat-Pelican game. Absolute horrible plays were designed by both coaches trying to inbound the ball.
Pels with a 5-second infraction when they were trying to tie it up, and Miami had to call two timeouts because they had no one open, only to turn it over on try #3.
And no the defense was not the reason, it was just piss poor play designs. Do coaches not spend time in practice on this? Even the announcers were stunned.
