Jazz 3 games away from .500 ball
big night for Lauri, 33 & 13
Sixers (no Embiid) fizzled out.

This article is about as asinine as anything could be. Judging Scoot based on his first 17 games in the league while acknowledging that things were turning for the better and then saying that because of Scoot the grade should be an F but we got a D+ because of Toumain and Duop.

Seriously B/R should be held to a higher standard? Scoot still has a long way to go but he's even been trending better since this article came out nearly three weeks ago.

It just proves how being prematurely hyper critical of a 19 year old does not age well.

What grade would you give our rookies?

couldn't agree more...thats why I posted the article. Me personally, Id give him a B- as of now.

probably depends on what curve you're using. If it's simply a statistical curve snapshot compared to the rest of the NBA, then F is probably appropriate; D- at best. 37% FG's; under 30% on three's; a TS% of .458...those are bad shooting numbers. A 1.57 assist/turnover ratio and 4.2 turnovers/36 are bad PG numbers. A PER of 7.1; a winshare/48 of -0.074; and a BPM of -7.8 are bad advanced numbers. So yeah, somewhere around F or D- on that curve

but that curve doesn't apply the context of being 19 years old; a 19 year old PG; or the context of comparing other PG's of the same age. And it doesn't apply the context of the improvements Scoot has shown over the course of his 25 games. I wouldn't go as high as a B- on that curve, but he's probably in the C range. In an upside curve, sure, give him a B

I wouldn't want to grade them yet honestly but if forced I actually like what I'm seeing out of Scoot, Toumani is a beast, Reath has been a nice surprise and honestly I don't hate what Kris has done when he's been given a chance. Just starting to see what Badji and Rupert have to offer. So a C+ right now but I would like to wait until the end of the season and make a premature judgment then.

I think those who are dissing Kris at the moment are being ridiculous. I also was not a fan of the pick at the time, but it makes no difference how old a rookie is, he is still a rookie. We have no idea how good or bad he will be......just yet. Next year is a different story.

Cavs on pace for 50 3pt hoists against Wemby & the Spurs. It's kinda sorta working i guess.. Cleveland up by 4 atm.

Cavs just hit 4 threes in a row. Filling the sky with arrows is working now. Spurs down 15 in rapid fashion.

Lebron is one of mentally toughest athletes of all time. Maybe the toughest. Actually pretty remarkable if you think about it. I don't know how he developed it etc.

It was the one and only glaring weakness of his the first half or so of his career, so it goes to show you can really develop your mental game if you put in the work.

He’s been solid in the opportunities he’s gotten, just in terms of not looking lost out there. Defensively, he’s in the right places and I haven’t seen as many glaring mistakes on that end compared to Scoot, Shae, Ant, Scoot. The moment he starts hitting 3’s regularly, I won’t be able to tell the difference between he and Keegan.

Sacramento has had some tough losses recently. Losing to us, Charlotte and getting demolished by New Orleans at home today without Zion. They are definitely pretenders. I think they definitely may a move at the deadline.

He's worse at just about everything this year than most of his career #s. It's just that "Laker Bump" that makes it seem that way.

Agreed. Reddish is frustrating because in one game you see flashes of why he was drafted high then stretches of wondering why he is still in the league.

He is not a good fit with Lebron though. Just surround James with shooters that can play D.

Clippers are 14-3 after the self certified basketball expert Danny Marang turned bright red and billowingly demanded that we ponder LAC's problems, before even thinking about issues with Blazers management.

Clippers lost those 3 games to Boston, Thunder, and last night to the Lakers. I dunno, seems like LAC has something our local reporters can't fathom. Multiple superstars playing good team basketball.
