Whiteside is my center on 2K (fantasy draft lol) he sets way better screens than Nurk, rebounds better and actually dunks...

I know it's a game...
I gave up on Nurk quickly. Went with Jordan. Then got #1 pick and traded it for Embiid. Traded Jordan. Got #3 pick and picked center Desmond Delk who is amazing.

I just wanted to get his out there again

I want Pat, Napier, and Layman gone. All three of them. By Friday. Goodbye. See you never again.
Agree 100%... and sign Dougie McBucketts

Shabazz is a valuable backup PG. Depends on the price I would welcome him back. Agree for the 2 others.

If you take Kyle Anderson out of SA, will he better or worse?
Better. He's my pipe dream. Because:

Type of Free Agency: Restricted

Age: 24

2017-18 Per-Game Stats: 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.8 blocks

Player Score: 5.36

Trailing These Free Agents at His Position: LeBron James (17.27), Kevin Durant (10.14), Paul George (7.63)

Next 5 Free Agents at His Position: Trevor Ariza (3.2), Jerami Grant (1.32), Rudy Gay (1.11), Luc Mbah a Moute (0.67), Jeff Green (0.38)

Kyle Anderson isn't a perfect player.

The slow-footed small forward can become an offensive liability when his perimeter stroke isn't clicking, as was the case during the San Antonio Spurs' first-round loss to the Golden State Warriors. He can struggle to create his own looks against athletic defenses, and his clangs on corner threes allow foes to cheat off of him and help cut off his teammates' driving lanes.

But Anderson still spent the vast majority of the 2017-18 season showcasing his improved offensive game for the Spurs.

Even if his three-point percentage fell from 37.5 in 2016-17 to a disappointing 33.3 this past season—which does offer hope of positive regression moving forward—he made up for the slippage by improving as a secondary distributor. He also learned how to excel on both mid-range pull-ups and close-range touch shots around the painted area.

Anderson wasn't a noteworthy asset on offense when he wasn't serving as a pick-and-roll ball-handler, but average play allowed him to maximize his impact on defense. That's where he shines brightest, after all.

With the lanky arms necessary to capitalize upon his mental acuity, Anderson can disrupt passing lanes, recover against quicker players who get an initial step on him and switch to guard multiple positions. Plenty of numbers work in his favor, as well.

The Spurs were 2.1 points per 100 possessions stingier when the UCLA product was on the floor. Narrowly edging out impossibly long point guard Dejounte Murray, Anderson had San Antonio's top score in defensive box plus/minus. Only 15 players throughout the NBA earned superior marks in ESPN.com's defensive real plus/minus.

It's time to accept Anderson as a legitimate defensive ace.

I wouldn't go that far, but I like him better than most of the wings available outside of the big names. Think he's got some of that Tayshaun Prince esque glue guy game. He's a bit handcuffed in SA -- put him in a more fluid system and I think he flourishes. Not sure that system is in Portland now however.

Basketball Reference says his nickname is "Dougie McBuckets" LOLOLOLOL

Looks like he can shoot. Can he defend?

Couldn't guard Mrs. HCP's grandmother in a phone booth.

Howard Beck brought up the idea of Cousins taking a one year deal for MLE and rehab on his own time. Says there is no market for him. He speculated that he could go to Portland if a Nurk deal doesn't get done, and he'd re-enter FA in 2019. I'd be all for that if we get his bird rights.

We wouldn't. One year deal gets non-bird exception, allowing only a 120% raise.

Can we do a sign and trade for 1 year and use the TPE? We would get his bird rights then...correct? of course New Orleans would want something in return like a #1.

No--sign-and-trade contracts must be for at least 3 years. In fact, CBA Q92 makes a point that they structured the S&T rules specifically to prevent this kind of bird right circumvention.

“I think many agents will be fired this summer,” one NBA agent told HoopsHype. “It’s going to be the worst free-agent market in terms of money that I’ve seen since I started working as an agent. It’s going to be a very, very difficult summer for anyone who isn’t getting a max contract.”

“This is a really dry market, so we could see more players than usual sign for the mid-level exception,” said Roger Montgomery, who’s represented players such as Jeremy Lin, Rudy Gay and Mo Evans. “I think the market is definitely going to be different than it was in the past. After that summer-of-2016 windfall, some people thought that every year after that would be somewhat similar. But last summer, we saw that the market was nowhere near as vibrant as it was in 2016. I think this year will be the same way. However, next summer I think it’ll start to loosen up a bit because teams will have some of that 2016 money coming off their books and they’ll be ready to reset a bit and spend money, especially with the cap set to go up.”

We could see quite a few players signing for the mid-level exception, the bi-annual exception or even the minimum. For next season, the full MLE is worth $8,568,000, the taxpayer MLE is worth $5,292,000 and the BAE is worth $3,353,000.

Also, don’t be surprised if some free agents opt to sign a one-year deal and then enter free agency once again next summer, when more teams are projected to have money to spend and the salary cap is expected to increase.
