I feel like this would be a Stotts wet dream...

I said Stotts'. Not McScribbles'.Basketball Reference says his nickname is "Dougie McBuckets" LOLOLOLOL
Looks like he can shoot. Can he defend?
Well, he can't be slower...If you take Kyle Anderson out of SA, will he better or worse?

Believe he's a RFA. Weird fact: he's actually two years older than Draymond. I don't think the two compare at all. NB is a decent shooter and not nearly the kind of playmaker.
You've never heard of McBuckets til today??Basketball Reference says his nickname is "Dougie McBuckets" LOLOLOLOL

I gave up on Nurk quickly. Went with Jordan. Then got #1 pick and traded it for Embiid. Traded Jordan. Got #3 pick and picked center Desmond Delk who is amazing.Whiteside is my center on 2K (fantasy draft lol) he sets way better screens than Nurk, rebounds better and actually dunks...
I know it's a game...
Pat is at best the 13th or 14th guy in a rotation, but definetly not a Backup SG

Agree 100%... and sign Dougie McBuckettsI just wanted to get his out there again
I want Pat, Napier, and Layman gone. All three of them. By Friday. Goodbye. See you never again.

Better. He's my pipe dream. Because:If you take Kyle Anderson out of SA, will he better or worse?
If he was so valuable, why didn't he get ANY minutes in the playoffs?Shabazz is a valuable backup PG. Depends on the price I would welcome him back. Agree for the 2 others.
I wouldn't go that far, but I like him better than most of the wings available outside of the big names. Think he's got some of that Tayshaun Prince esque glue guy game. He's a bit handcuffed in SA -- put him in a more fluid system and I think he flourishes. Not sure that system is in Portland now however.Better. He's my pipe dream.

Couldn't guard Mrs. HCP's grandmother in a phone booth.
We wouldn't. One year deal gets non-bird exception, allowing only a 120% raise.Howard Beck brought up the idea of Cousins taking a one year deal for MLE and rehab on his own time. Says there is no market for him. He speculated that he could go to Portland if a Nurk deal doesn't get done, and he'd re-enter FA in 2019. I'd be all for that if we get his bird rights.
Would this also be the case if we gave him a two year deal with player option for the second year?We wouldn't. One year deal gets non-bird exception, allowing only a 120% raise.

Based on contract completion length, I believe, so I think the same status would apply.Would this also be the case if we gave him a two year deal with player option for the second year?
No--sign-and-trade contracts must be for at least 3 years. In fact, CBA Q92 makes a point that they structured the S&T rules specifically to prevent this kind of bird right circumvention. Can we do a sign and trade for 1 year and use the TPE? We would get his bird rights then...correct? of course New Orleans would want something in return like a #1.
https://hoopshype.com/2018/06/29/nba-agents-analyze-dry-market-many-of-us-will-be-fired-this-summer/“I think many agents will be fired this summer,” one NBA agent told HoopsHype. “It’s going to be the worst free-agent market in terms of money that I’ve seen since I started working as an agent. It’s going to be a very, very difficult summer for anyone who isn’t getting a max contract.”
“This is a really dry market, so we could see more players than usual sign for the mid-level exception,” said Roger Montgomery, who’s represented players such as Jeremy Lin, Rudy Gay and Mo Evans. “I think the market is definitely going to be different than it was in the past. After that summer-of-2016 windfall, some people thought that every year after that would be somewhat similar. But last summer, we saw that the market was nowhere near as vibrant as it was in 2016. I think this year will be the same way. However, next summer I think it’ll start to loosen up a bit because teams will have some of that 2016 money coming off their books and they’ll be ready to reset a bit and spend money, especially with the cap set to go up.”
We could see quite a few players signing for the mid-level exception, the bi-annual exception or even the minimum. For next season, the full MLE is worth $8,568,000, the taxpayer MLE is worth $5,292,000 and the BAE is worth $3,353,000.
Also, don’t be surprised if some free agents opt to sign a one-year deal and then enter free agency once again next summer, when more teams are projected to have money to spend and the salary cap is expected to increase.
I did NOT see that coming.Lebron opting out!
