Almost sounds like Ainge wants it and has his marketing team working hard...Dwight jaynes simpin for Ainge is all the confirmation one needs that he should NOT be the guy.
Olshey et al largely been competent at finding value in the later portions of the draft.
24 - Simons
25- Little
31- Crabbe
37- Trent Jr.
40- Barton
41- Connaughton
47- Layman
the only real miss in this range was Swanigan, and maybe Elleby. If you just use these late picks getting second contracts as a metric, it's a near 100% hit rate. the Collins pick in the lottery was a disaster (and i'll maintain that as Olshey's biggest mistake in a decade), but our draft record has been great by most NBA teams' standards during Neil's tenure.
he's still there in Phoenix and they just won 18 straight games. why would he leave?Would James Jones make sense? He was doing good things in the valley of the sun before deciding to move on from all things sarver.
my post was in reference to scouting by Cronin (and olshey, etc). Scouting was never the problem. It was the lack of risks taken from a trading perspective, and sticking to HIS GUYS for too long. Some nice role players or bench contributors. But he hasn't put real impact starter talent around Dame. That is the decade long swing and a miss.
Shaun BattierDon’t know much about Eversley but Perry would be interesting.
1. Perry
2. Berry
3. Eversley / Prince
my current power rankings
precisely.Almost sounds like Ainge wants it and has his marketing team working hard...
but the team has made it clear he wasn't fired for the on-court performance. it was for his conduct behind the scenes. Make it seem like they were mostly fine with what he put together on the court. That worries me.
this is nonsense. mannix is a boston-stan who really has no connections outside of that city. don't buy it.
Thought he had quit, must have read that wrong.he's still there in Phoenix and they just won 18 straight games. why would he leave?
Little is injury prone for sure.I dont know his ceiling, but I do feel confident he'll hurt himself trying to touch it.

if Jody had a problem with Olshey's performance, he would have been fired a few years ago.Lawyers wrote that.
True, but maybe he doesn’t like working for a racist.
CJ, obviously!WAIT A SECOND
what are we gonna cry about now?
Jones was a first-time GM who only became full-time GM in 2019. Olshey was one of the longest tenured active heads of bball ops in the league until this morning. this is not really surprising.I thought I read somewhere he was paid a lot less than Olshey as well.
Missing on the one lottery pick is damning - all those second round finds have gotten us nothing.

I like to imagine Terry Stotts, Brian Wheeler and the Mike's getting drunk together and sharing war stories tonight.....all going..."Fuck Yeah!"
