Both Bassa and Tez should come back based.

Bassa has only been at that weight (230) for less than a year. I would like to see him develop one more year. I see his ceiling in the NFL as similar to Troy Dye....mostly special teams

Pound for Pound Tez is really strong....but still how many WRs make it at 160 lbs in the NFL? A few for sure, but not many.
If he can get a nice NIL deal he should take it. I really hope he comes back as well.

Ferguson on the other hand, I can see being a pretty good pro.

Ferg is so big. He definitely has an NFL body.

Whats sad is when UW wins the national championship, we had maybe our best team in history, TWO chances to prevent UW from getting there. TWO!!

How will we ever talk shit to them? Recruiting? Smh

The way everything played out was disgusting. I need to take a long break. College Football is the roughest in all of sports fandom.

CB Cole Martin to the portal, Penei to the Pro Bowl

yes...the dad got a contract extension thru the 2024 season. Maybe the son wanted out from other the shadow of his father. That's pretty common
Yeah I wouldn’t want to experience college with my dad right there watching my every move.

Tez Johnson returning for his senior season. So, that's Bassa and Tez returning

the important players yet to decide: edge Jordan Burch; WR Traeshon Holden; OLinemen Anjani Cornelius and Marcus Harper; TE Terrance Ferguson

I would be surprised if Holden doesn’t come back. I think he will be featured next year.

that's true but you never know what 20-21 year old guys will decide. When I was that age I decisively made lots of poor choices.

I think in the old days (3 years ago) he would try his luck in the NFL. Now with NIL money, I think there is a much better chance he returns. Assuming his draft grade comes back with a subpar grade. There are so many WRs every year, it makes it hard to get drafted IMO....unless you are elite

Yeah, and with Tez/Franklin he didn't really get the chance to shine like he probably wants to.

Not sure if this is relevant or not, or if it was just the emotion after the game, but he did go out of his way to post "I love this team" (or something close to that) So at least it was not an unpleasant experience for him.

That's why I think he stays. He loves the team. He had a great Fiesta Bowl. Next season he's probably WR1 or WR2.

With Dickey and Holden we have good size on the edges for blocking. (Not sold yet on Kasper)
And decent speed in the slot with Tez and Bryant. Plus the freshmen......

Cole Martin must realize that they recruited players better than him. Isn’t his dad still a coach with the team?
The speculation I read was that Oregon had projected his future at Nickle while he wants to be a shutdown Boundary CB. At the next level, Nickle CBs don't get paid like guys you can put outside on an island... best of luck to him

If anyone would know his strengths, it would the DB coach (his Dad).

Coach Meat might've also been talking to him about the freshman talent coming in next year.

Certainly there are other teams with easier paths to the field at CB then Oregon. Their starting Nickle CB Tysheem Johnson and Field CB Jahlil Florence return next season. Also returning are one former 4* stud after another including several from the last class (Martin's). According to all the major recruiting sites, Oregon has four real talents coming in at DB. NFL bound Khyree Jackson was their boundary corner last season, but I've read that with his elite speed and length JC transfer Sione Laulea is expected to take Jackson's starting spot.

Will be interested to see where he goes, the talent and coaching in that program, etc.

He played all 14 games as a true freshman, not something that can be said about all the other DBs in his class.

yeah, Thompson to Tulane and Cole Martin to ASU. Dilly gets another one
