Trying to flip Jeremiah McClellan from OSU
Oregon is pretty set in it's WR rotation next year, but with Holden and Johnson moving on after next season there should be a major role available in 2025. The other receivers of note who will still be on board after next season include Gary Bryant Jr, Kyle Kasper & Jurrion Dickey. Oregon has been recruiting McClellan long before he verbaled to tOSU probably in part because he comes from Lanning's home turf. The speculation I've read though is that he sticks with his Buckeye pledge

Assuming Tex is coming back, he's going to be the guy in the slot. I'd think Oregon would like to hit the portal to find a WR1 to replace Franklin.

I think they'd like that guy to be Dickey who arrived at the program last year as one of their highest rated recruits but injured from his Senior season. Because of that he missed all of fall camp and Redshirted but is expected to be good to go next year.

Oregon mostly getting done what was expected except for flipping McClellan their way. Some concern about eh massive OT from Alabama, JacQawn McCoy. Prime was trying to get him to flip to Colorado

also, Kobe Savage, the senior safety from KSU is transferring to Oregon; made it official

I think Dickey will be very good, but I wonder if he is more of a possession-type receiver. Besides Tez, we need a game-breaker that I think McClellan can provide. But until that NLI is received I will be a little nervous.

I see Dickey and McClellan as more similar then not, though JD is a bit bigger. Neither has the sort of top end speed Tez or Franklin has, but both are more then fast enough, very physical & coordinated athletes. They should be a load both in the pass and running games. The other Duck WR with top end speed is Gary Bryant Jr who has 2 years of eligibility left

his 40 time has some discrepancies, but I did find this:

"He ran a 4.45-second 40-yard time at OSU's camp in 2022 and earned an offer soon after"
(That was a year ago)

Bryant showed me some glimpses this year that he can be absolutely electric. Almost reminded me a little bit of DAT the way he can put the jets on in open space

I do give monthly. Wouldn't be right of me to piss and moan that we're not getting better players if I didn't at least give something. I also donate to the Duck Athletic Fund.

Neither are life changing amounts, but if everyone at Autzen gave what I gave each year, it would more than triple the estimated amount of what the collective gives out now, and Oregon's collectives are near the top in the country as is. People underestimate how far a little bit of money from a lot of people can go, they want Phil to pay for it all.
Have you thought about giving some of that extra money to volunteer organization that supplies stuff to Ukrainian soldiers and doesn't take salaries for themselves?

the top end speed critique is both one I've read others express and observed on their HS tapes. They pull away from defenders but don't make it look like they're on an escalator vs defenders on stairs as guys like Bryant did. Again, I'm thrilled to have them both on my Duckies!
