is it starting?

* in the past 1-2 days it's been announced that OSU men's BB team team is losing leading scorer Jordan Pope and post KC Ibekwe

* and it was announced that the women's team is losing Talia von Oelhoffen to the portal. More ominous, according to the Oregonian, is that "Von Oelhoffen is expected to be the first of several Oregon State players to head to the portal, a source with knowledge told The Oregonian/OregonLive"

spring is a transfer time of year all over. The UofO has lost at least one BB player to the portal and had a de-commitment as well. And Oregon born & raised sprinter Micah Williams has entered the portal (can't imagine Phil Knight didn't notice that). And of course in the age of NIL and unfettered transfers, major movement is pretty much the new normal

OSU's football team, at least in terms of quantity, didn't get burned as they were +3 in the portal. Quality was another matter as the Beavers seemed to have lost a lot of 4 star talent and replaced with 3 star talent

there are several people nationally, supposedly 'in the know' like Josh Pate, who are predicting that the spring 15 day transfer portal for football will have seismic impact and create massive chaos and change. That will be interesting

I watch most of the games live on pac-12.com/live for free :dunno:

If the Blazers had thought outside the box instead of going with Root you all could have gone with the Pac 12 Network. Blazer fans would have had better access to games and the Blazers would have saved the Pac 12 with the additional revenue and prestige.

'reports' are that OSU was going to pay him $400,000 next season, but it wasn't enough

he probably already knows where he's going...maybe back to Texas

lol...beaver fans sure can't stand when the shoe is on the other foot. They flooded Duck forums with trash-talk when the Ducks lost the Pac-12 championship game and laughed hard at the ducks losing to Creighton in march madness. They've spent 10 months blaming the UofO for the collapse of the Pac-12 when they were already trying to flee to the Big-12 themselves. When the Ducks started their branding campaign 25 years ago, OSU fans ridiculed the Ducks for doing so. But it was Oregon's branding that was front-and center of why they had the Big-10 option. Beavers spent decades yapping about how they were all substance while the Ducks were just flash and style.

In fact a women's basketball player and a men's basketball player appeared recently in a commercial where they threw shade at the UofO while claiming OSU sports was built and not bought (like the Ducks), and claiming loyalty to OSU....and both players have entered the transfer portal...

and I'll never forget the absurdity of the emergency meeting of the legislature last fall when the OSU president said that the 40M hole in OSU's athletic budget should be plugged by taking money from the UofO. She even suggested that the UofO should pay for OSU's athletic scholarship budget. It was insane

so yeah, there's going to be some duck fans who will take the trash talking to another level...and a joke of Benny in the portal is pretty funny
