I’m guessing he was told by the new coaching staff it might be in his best interest to transfer. I doubt he’ll get much interest from any good teams/schools.

That's a weird take. One of the first things Lanning did was invite walk-ons to try out. It's how we got Boettcher.

So you're saying the Ducks should pick him up?
if Oregon pursues a WR in the portal, and I suspect they might, I think they'd set their sights a little higher than Walker. That's not to say Walker isn't a good WR. He's a pretty good possession receiver. They guy you look for on 3rd and 6. But Oregon has some pretty good possession WR's already, and they have two 5-star WR's and a high 4-star WR coming in, There's still a chance, probably remote, that Malik Benson might be granted another season of eligibility as well. And it's unclear what Evan Stewart is going to do, but he's too injury prone

So this is now a Ducks thread?

I get the feeling we are going to end up with one of the youngest coaching staffs in Division 1 football.

Very nice, but shouldn't a Jerry Rice award be for receivers?

The Jerry Rice Award is given to the most outstanding freshman player in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), honoring top first-year talent in that level of college football, named after legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice who played at Mississippi Valley State.

Ugh! I don't want Maalik Murphy coming back. Hopefully his NIL $ went down significantly because of how he played last year. He isnt worth the $1.5 million he got!
