He's got his head up, and will make the smart pass. Baldwin looks like he's always trying to go one on one. The ball is too sticky when he's the PG.

Why isn't Layman playing more...? If anything, we need to get him hitting shots in games against opposing defenses... He should be getting more than 6 minutes a half. He should be playing 20-30.

But will he take the smart shot? He forced a lot in the 1st preseason game, and he seems to settle a little bit. The lack of burst is a concern for me. Seen many good shooters who supposedly had the potential to get to the rim that ended up worthless because they didn't have the burst to attack or defend. One example? Stauskas. On the other hand, you have guys like Wesley Matthews but he's unique.

We're making 3s. Still want to see how we react to missing 3s and if we have sets and actions that can help us get layups that aren't through basic pick n roll and guarded dribble drives.

We was 14- 22 in 2 points attempts so we not settling for 3 point shot and we are 4-12 in that department.

I don't know if it will work but I really like the idea of Baldwin playing with the other 4 starters. He can just focus on harassing the best perimeter player for the other team and pushing the ball up the court.

It's very clunky because pretty much everyone does it but I'm really glad they are addressing all the holding that goes on off the ball. We'll see if it continues into the regular season but it would be nice to get that crap out of the game.

It cannot be understated just how good our Defense is with Nurk on the court. That alone, to me, justifies his contract. Even if he never develops an elite shot.
