Biden Restarts & Expands Trump-Era “Remain in Mexico” Policy Despite Widespread Abuse, Kidnappings.

Biden expanded a cruel and racist Trump era policy. Makes me wonder who is more racist and cruel.

You do know he ended it, two right wing state attorneys general sued, a Trump appointed judge overturned the president and the supremacist court upheld the judge over the president.

Let's not ruin a perfectly good both-sides-are-evil rant with facts.

I have watched reports on Biden's administration as he also fought to reinstate this Trump era policy.

And, yes, I do understand that the policy was reinstated by a judge. But, that still doesn't explain why Biden has literally... expanded the program. You don't expand a program that you are opposed to. So, the argument that Biden is being held hostage by this judgement, falls flat on it's face.

It's a horrible racist inhumane policy. Biden should make efforts to get around court ruling. IMO he is too much of an institutionalism. But since inauguration we have had rant after rant about how much worse things are. Well, I sure as fuck don't miss Trump in the white house.

I am happy to see Trump gone. But if Biden stays on this course of breaking his campaign promises, that he is currently on, we will see a republican president in 2024. And nobody should ever want that.

I would love to see Biden succeed. But he isn't even trying. If he showed that he cared about humans, he might stand a chance. But his policies show that he is as uncaring a person as the last several presidents that America has had. So I don't expect the democrats to win in 2024. Because they are selling Americans out... just like the republicans.

Biden's ratings are tanking because he is breaking his promises to people of color, progressives and independents. The same people who helped him to beat Trump. At this rate, he will not have their support, or vote in 2024. And will hand America the next republican president, as a thank you present.

I don't think he will run and the DNC will advise him not too. They will get behind Harris or someone else?

Yeah, I am already hearing about a possible Harris/Buttigieg ticket. A wall street dream ticket.

Problem is, Harris has a lower approval rating than Biden does. She isn't well liked, and I don't see that changing any time soon. So I don't see her as a strong presidential candidate. She couldn't even win her own state, if I remember correctly.

Personally, I would support John Fetterman, Lt. Governor from Pennsylvania. A 6'8" bald headed man with morals is good for me.
Lt. Gov. John Fetterman | Governor Tom Wolf (pa.gov) "The disparity between his own life and that of his ‘little’ motivated John to quit his job and join AmeriCorps, where for two years he served in Pittsburgh’s historic Hill District, helping to set up the first computer labs in the neighborhood and teaching GED classes to young mothers and fathers.

He went on to earn a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, where he focused on finding solutions in social work, business, and public policy to confront urban challenges and economic inequality.

John then returned to Pennsylvania to start a GED program in the town of Braddock. John saw the beauty, grit, and determination that had been in the community’s roots for generations, and focused on turning Braddock, a town facing many obstacles, into a thriving and growing community."

Putin-Biden talks: What next for Ukraine? - BBC News
"One conversation alone will not end this crisis. Everything now depends upon what Mr Putin takes away from this discussion and what signals he receives and sends, in the days and perhaps short weeks ahead.

The seriousness of this situation cannot be over-stated. The scale and nature of Russia's military build-up around Ukraine is extraordinary. US intelligence sources are warning that the Kremlin is preparing for a multi-front offensive, as soon as early next year, involving some 175,000 troops."

It was just a matter of time before Biden had to directly face Russia and China. Not certain how he will ultimately handle all of this. People get ready.

In my view, a 77 year old man will have immense pressure. I'm a senior and life is totally different then when I was 40. In '24 this country has to vote for a younger more vibrant leader and Trump certainly is off the list. The USA needs a new political path with young people taking the helm.

Agreed, brother.

It seems like the 'expansion' here was to treat Spanish-speakers and non-Spanish speakers alike. The Trump admin made only the Spanish speakers stay in Mexico.

I do not know but it could be that the current admin felt that discriminating based on native language was inappropriate or illegal.

This is related to Russia and China's military expansion over the last 5 years more than anything concerning Afghanistan...the entire West Pac aliance is scrambling to build a Naval presence in asia given China's expansion and now Russia looks to knock on the door of invading Ukraine...which Nato is preparing for....fighting two wars on two fronts is entirely possible ...the world is in a shakey political mess right now

I don't get it....Joe didn't empower China and Russia to expand their military...that happened under your guy...did you even read my post about the topic or are you just flinging cartoons around? The entire free world is scrambling to check China and Russia and thanks to Joe at least we're friendly with our allies again instead of calling them all losers like the last mistake in office...both the UK and Australia are putting the blame where it belongs....world news is not bound to American politics...I for one am glad to see Joe stand up for Taiwan in face of these threats and I have family there....I respect our stance concerning that democratic nation that's being bullied.

Respect Joe for his honoring of Bob Dole ...a guy who put country before party when he was younger and active in American politics....class has returned to the oval office as oppossed to the death of John McCain and the white house reaction to that..... refreshing to say the least

It is simply another excuse to throw money at our military, while ignoring America's problems. We can tackle both, we have the means, yet there is literally no will in the democrat party to do so. Shameful.

In this case it's more counterpunching in the world theatre....at least the dems have alloted stimulus infrastructure legislation...the other party has not and both have believed in military dominance...the military chess game has gone on our whole lives and is so profitable that it goes beyond nationalistic policy...arms dealers have no interest in nationalism other than for profit....I think that's the evil in the equation....

Dude, I'm always flinging around tongue-in-cheek stuff. Relax. Plus, Joe ain't runnin' the show. They all know it. I'm pretty sure he's cringing right about now.
