That said, lets review your points one at a time.
  1. Trump’s gaffes are minor and generally few and far between, and not the result of obvious dementia.
    • Joe Biden was diagnosed at a young age with a stutter, and ever since he was first in politics he's well known to make slip ups and put his foot in his mouth even when he was much younger. As he's aged, his mental lapses have increased, which isn't surprising as that tends to happen as you age, especially when you already have a speech impediment. No one in Bidens immediate circle is coming out, even anonymously, saying they're concerned with Biden having dementia. Trump on the other hand has not been diagnosed with anything that is known publicly such as a speech impediment of any kind, and dating all the way back to 2021 even Trump allies secretly believed Trump may have early stages of dementia.     • Let me also remind you that it's widely known that Trumps father Fred Trump was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
  2. We are involved in 3 wars now and counting (what you all insisted Trump would do)
    • What we're doing now is funding allies and major partners throughout the world that are fighting against countries that do not share our interests. For example funding Ukraine and fighting Russia is in the US national interest no matter how you slice it, this is exactly the same play we did against the USSR with Afghanistan in the 1980's. Were you against that too? Not supporting Ukraine in this situation is tantamount to unbelievable stupidity on so many levels. Ukraine is doing all the lifting here, and is greatly degrading the capabilities of what we thought was a near peer rival, and we're not losing a single American life to do it. It's just astounding to me that anyone with a brain would be against supporting Ukraine here as on so many levels it is in our interests to do so. But then again those who watch Fox tend to have get mushy and easily malleable. As for Israel, what do you suggest? We don't support an ally after they've been attacked by terrorists? Seriously what the f___. And what third war is going on that we're supposedly involved in now? You arguments are just entirely ludicrous, it's either incredibly naïve, or intentionally dishonest when you review it beyond the surface level of "we're involved in 3 wars" talking point BS.
  3. inflation is through the roof, interest tates through the roof
    • Inflation has been mostly tamed, it's still lingering, but it's come down dramatically. Regardless, inflation (and certainly interest rates) has to do with the Fed not who is President. The President does not meet with the board of governors of the Federal Reserve and decide on what the interest rate should be, the Fed Chairman does. And thank god for that! The only affect a President has on interest rates is who he assigns to the Fed, and Biden chose the same guy to lead it as Trump did when he was given the chance. Again your argument is either naïve or intellectually dishonest.
  4. homelessness through the roof
    • Homelessness has been a problem for a long ass time, this didn't just happen in the last 3 years bro. This was an issue during the Trump administration too. This is mostly a local issue and has mostly to do with lack of housing. Most experts point to housing supply causing housing to be unaffordable that causes most people to become homeless. Housing supply mostly has to do with zoning laws (ie local laws), and large corporations buying up large supplies of housing. Both of these things have been ongoing for a long time and create artificial scarcity, which increases rent/housing prices etc, thus makes housing mostly unaffordable. The federal government could certainly help with this situation, such as passing a law restricting how many houses/homes can be owned by a single company, but man, aren't most conservatives against the government getting involved in regulating markets or something? Oh, right, this is just a talking point and once Trump is President again we'll all have rainbows, unicorns, and fart flowers in ecstasy when all the worlds problems will be solved or something.
  5. drug overdoses through the roof because of an open border
    • What does an open border mean? Did the Border Patrol and USCIS suddenly disappear over night? In another thread were you not just complaining about the number of apprehensions along the border? How can we have both 'open borders' and increasing apprehensions, and you're outraged about both? Oh right, the argument is just simply intellectually dishonest at its core. It's just a talking point, and there's no genuine effort being made to solve anything to do with the border.
  6. WW3 about to kick off and a president that is literally doing a live action weekend at bernies 24/7 while this all goes down. You couldn’t write this and make it believable.
    • Why is WW3 starting? Why is anyone doing a live stream while it starts for 24/7? Can you translate this into something comprehensible for someone that isn't up to speed on last nights Fox hysteria?

For what it’s worth though, the boomer comment wasn’t aimed at you or anyone in particular, it’s just a general observation of what i see in the political sphere.

I don't care if Biden survives. He's old. Old people die. His cabinet is about 1000x better than anything Trump gave us. And Trump is every bit as likely to die as Biden is.

I'm voting against evil. Trump is literally evil from everything I've seen. As evil as Putin, Xi, Hitler, Stalin.

As is Trump's cabinet.

The only thing that stopped him from being as bad as those despots are the guiderails of US office he tried to destroy every day following his election.

This is just silly. This is why i dont take most political arguments seriously. Nobody wants to address things face value, just scream craziness like this. You can’t even take something like this seriously or respond to it in any serious manner. It’s too far gone to even have a point to start from.

There was nothing hysterical about my statement. It was an observation of his character and the risk it poses to the world if he's elected, based on his eagerness to subvert democracy for personal gain.

Literally bragging about the murder of american citizens by police.

Ordering the beating of peaceful protesters by his security for a photo op.

Not to mention the whole attempted insurrection thing to subvert the peaceful transfer of power.

Last night Chris Hayes referred to disgraced former congressman George Santos as George Soros, which is pretty funny. Tonight Rachel Maddow talked about Supreme Court hearing ballot challenge from California, although it was Colorado. They are in midlife so it's slip. If Biden said the same thing it would be proof of senility.

They will. Joe Biden will not be allowed near a debate stage. They hardly let him loose in public anymore without nervous handlers blocking the press and interrupting questions before he says something stupid. Someone else will definitely run.

Biden is 80+ and legitimately senile though, that’s the difference. Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow are young, healthy corporate establishment hacks who dont have dementia. They are quite sentient when delivering pro-war propaganda. When you do it for a living you’ll make little mistakes here and there, we all do.

There should be a debate requirement. If you don't do at least 3 debates against your rival you are off the ballot.

And honestly, I'd prefer more. I'd prefer actual fact checked policy discussions that have to come to a resolution. No talking out of the side of your mouth until time is up. If you don't answer you lose.

I should have also said, he's not nearly as capable as Hitler or Stalin (not to mention the others), which might be his biggest limiting factor when compared to them.

Standard for an incoming president to replace US attorneys, in fact, they all offer resignation. Biden accepted resignation of all Trump's US attorneys except the one Trump appointed to investigate him. Because he didn't want appearance of cover-up. Imagine Trump doing that! So this man appointed to bring down Biden concludes errors but no crimes. Throws in irrelevant snarky psychobabble.

And Trump has 91 indictments but you know, both sides

Look at the lengths he went to keep power and lie to the country over and over.

Revel in the murder of civilians who he disagrees with.

If you don't agree that happened you are the emotional one. I have no motivation other than to see my children live and grow in a healthy country/world.

What else is necessary to make him morally equivalent to Stalin or Hitler?

I have no emotional affiliation to any religious or political organization or tribe. No news source that would lead me to believe lies.

There is no logical basis to believe I irrationally hate either political candidate. This is a direct and honest response to Trump's own actions.

Trump is such a piece of shit that after getting to know him the public turned on him to the extent that Joe Fucking Biden beat him in a landslide.

You may disagree with me, but I've already posted facts that back my opinion up. You stating they don't exist is just you living in your own fantasy. Which, you would have to do to support a piece of shit like Trump who worships despots like Hitler, Stalin, and Putin anyway.

Trump has proven without a doubt that he would be every bit the tyrant as Hitler or Stalin if given the power to do so.

That he was unable to achieve their levels of horror is thanks only to the strengths of the institutions we've built to protect against that exact threat here in America. Which he fought against every day of his presidency.

Hey, Im a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man and my memory isn't very sharp. But I can sure have a great time in retirement, and with my wife.
