One of the very sad side effects of dementia.

The person with dementia often does not know they have it. Even during the very early stages. The longer it progresses, the less likely they are aware they have a problem.

So Trumps's behavior, and refusing to remove himself from running for a second term. Is completely in line with the dementia process. Everything appears normal in Trump's world, to him.

I have gone through the complete dementia process, to the end, with 2 people very dear and close to me. From here Trump's situation will only get much worse. At some point. Someone will need to step in, and do the right thing. That someone should be his family. But from all accounts, they refuse to.

I sincerely hope a dignified way is found to end this.

Can you show me where you've called for Trump to be dropped as the Republican candidate? I think that's the most sensible, dignified way to end this.

I do not pander to any cult members. You are not entitled to an answer, nor do you deserve one.

Either you have a reading problem, a memory problem, or you are looking to make trouble. If you had done research on my posts about Trump. You would not have asked such a silly question.

Yeah, just what I expected from you ... talking about cult members ... too funny.

The fisherman got hooked by MAGA.

I'm guilty of this too, but something about Biden post debate is inspiring people to type out piles of absolute dross. I'm sure Fisherman is sincere with being concerned for Biden's dignity, it's just that dementia itself is being used as a way to appear neutral when calling for him to step down.

Now this is a bit of a detour but I watched a YouTube video last month by a history teacher named Sean Munger on the 1924 election season, particularly the disaster that was the DNC. The NYT, on pure coincidence, ran an article about the parallels of that election to our own a 100 years later. It's an entertaining read if nothing else, hopefully not a preview for the upcoming DNC.

You have to be in cognitive decline not to see that Donald Trump is the worse candidate compared to anyone. To be focused on Biden's shortcomings when the alternative is a complete human shortcoming makes zero sense.

It’s the media. CNN and Fox want Trump to win. It drives ratings.

The guy has never said a good thing about Trump on here that i can ever remember.
You are so offended by anyone having a different opinion than you that you completely go full swing on your MAGA finger pointing if anyone dares to even question anything outside the party line.

Thanks. I needed a good laugh tonight! :biglaugh:

Absolutely. I think less people buy into the media these days, though. I think this is turning Trump into the establishment candidate in a sense.

I think it's the same with the debates...it didn't change anyone's mind.

Also, I think a lot of the bigger name or famous nay-sayers of Biden, secretly like the idea of having Trump in charge for three reasons. Whoever is president will have almost zero negative impact on their lives, they'll probably be better off tax wise, and also they don't give two shits about anyone who is not in their "class".

It is ironic that Indians have become the bottom of the totem pole, in their own country.
What does this have to do with India? Can't believe you actually typed that sentence ma'am/sir. UNREAL!

I've had you on ignore for years now. I'm like HCP, I see posts and go 'why can't I see this?'

But unrelated to you (zags, as this has nothing to do with you) there's an old saying.

"if you don't want people to think you're racist, don't say racist shit".

But in this place, if you don't want people to respond to you saying stupid shit, don't say stupid shit.

So stop saying stupid shit (I'm looking at you @THE HCP )
Thanks FAMS.....wait a sec......

Someone is finally waking up

"A controversial figure, Johnson considers himself a Pan-Africanist who condemns interracial marriage and homosexuality."

I always find it compelling when I'm being pointed to the conservative, anti-science guy who claimed Kobe Bryant was assassinated as a sign that Democrats are "finally waking up." Thanks for the laugh to start my day, Beast.

I didn't say "democrats". But more and more black people are figuring out that the democreeps just pander to them yet do nothing.

"Democreeps"? What are you, 6?

You might want to take 30 seconds to investigate who you are quoting. Johnson doesn't vote and tells Blacks not to vote. Done that for years. Of course, he's a social reactionary, and I don't think anyone on the left ever has considered him or would want to consider them on their side.

Anyway, by all means, double down on your first mistake. Dig that hole. Color in that L.

When the people you bring up to support your side are against interracial marriage and condemn homosexuality, you're on the wrong side if history.

I've noticed that rich people tend to not like Biden right now, can't seem to put my finger on why tho...Oh, I know, a war in a region they don't give two shits about.

Cute. Tens of trillions (of tax dollars) completely unaccounted for by the state department in the last couple decades. Enjoy your peanut.

What exactly are you referring to? I figure you'll just use your dad's line and run away saying I don't deserve an answer, but I think I stay pretty well informed and I've never heard this claim. There was the $2.3 trillion Rumsfeld was questioned about losing and the Pentagon is accused of losing a lot of money. But the state department losing tens of trillions?

The state department's budget for his year is only $87.78 billion. They'd have to not be able to account for any of their spending basically for the entirety of the history of the United States for what you say to be true.
