The Sacramento Kings have entered the race for Portland Trail Blazers free-agent swingman Wesley Matthews, according to league sources, and have agreed to a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers in an effort to clear salary-cap space. The Kings, sources say, are now pursuing at least three top free agents: Monta Ellis, Rajon Rondo and Matthews, the latter of whom they have secured a face-to-face sitdown with on Thursday.

Afflalo took a pay cut to leave the Blazers. For 2011-16 he had a 5-year $43 million contract. Last season he made $7,937,500, then declined the 5th year. Now he signs for 2-years, $16 million. That's less than he would have made next year.

Am I missing something?

I still like Stuckey, if Monta goes to Indy Stuckey may not be coming back and a lot of money has been spent, maybe wait a bit more and try to get him fairly cheap

What would you think if we resigned LMA and Wes both to max deals and Rolo to nearly the same. At this point I think I would be very happy with it.

Unfortunately I think Sacramento pays Wes what he wants and New York grabs Rolo. I would be all for it but that's just a dream now which is funny to think
