Politics Trump just announced he will not repeal Obamacare

The problem with this is that NOBODY is healthy.

Speak for yourself. There are days when I referee 10 games in a day. That's 10 hours of sprinting.

Earlier this year did a 15 minute jog to Milwaukie HS, refereed 7 games, jogged BACK home, and then gave my girlfriend 4 orgasms.

I'm healthy as a horse.

But I would pay WAY MORE in taxes than I would to actually USE the service! I would be essentially paying for a service that I rarely use or need. I only need to see a doctor once or twice a year.

There's something wrong with that!

No you wouldn't. The next country down pays 3300 per year, per citizen. Our system costs twice that. You're simply wrong and I think you need to change kool-aid flavors.

Sigh. Again: this is the same mentality of those who say "well, Obamacare is great for me, so it should be great for you too!"

Not everyone runs 10 fucking miles every morning. In fact, most of the country is fat, out of shape, stressed, and depressed.

Healthy people are the minority. MOST people have SOMETHING wrong with them.

So what you're saying is you'd rather pay what you pay monthly for health care and rarely use it than pay half of that? That's just stupid. It doesn't matter who the money goes to. Themoney is going out. Why wouldn't you want to cut that in half?

Problem is; saying half is arbitrary. You and nobody else here can prove that. Likely it would start out as half (or who knows more?), and then as the system was crushed by the fat-asses of the world (that video I linked is a great view into it), your and my bill goes up, and up, and up. There is no ceiling....

Edit:

You have to make an incentive for people to be healthy if you are going to put forth a single payer system. Otherwise it's a huge fail.

The slippery slope argument is so tired. Employ a different tactic.

The problem is, not everyone gives a fuck about being healthy so you have tons of dip shits eating cheetos and drinkin mt dew all day having to go to the doctor countless times.

What's this do to the cost of the single payer system, it bloats it the fuck up. What do they do then? Raise everyone's taxes.

We all get fucked then. And the healthy person (me/you/dviss hes svelt) gets ass-raped.

No thanks.

Cheeto eaters? Destroy our only chance at affordable universal healthcare because of some cheeto eaters?

Some fat unhealthy fast food fucks have jobs. Some make a shitload of money. They will be putting in.

As far as healthy people footing the bill, Im fine with doing my part to protect the nation medically. And knowing that everyone I know and everyone I care about is covered would be nice.

Listen, I have pretty great insurance through work, but I'm trying to think big picture here. We need to make sure all of our citizens have access to life saving healthcare. We are the richest country in the history of the world. I mean shit. It's really just kind of pathetic that D.C. cant make it work.

I understand the arguments against it, but it is generally thought that it would lower costs. The problem with it has been the quality part, and bringing this full circle, that's something that can be figured out, hopefully, by our fucking cheeto faced president.

Bottom line, we have diverted away from your candidate. He's not going to repeal it!

Hilarious.

Because contrary to what you believe, if the company I work for offers a good plan, and my insurance company works with me, I pay LESS than I would by paying made-up taxes for a service I never use. Since I don't have to pay a co-pay through my insurance when I'm not using it, as opposed to being charged with a tax on a routine basis.

This is circular. People will be more healthy if they have accessible health care.

Oh snap!

:biglaugh:

Ok. Whatever you say man. If you can prove that costs wouldn't rise then please do so.

No. You prove that they won't. Because common sense says when you stop paying a middle man costs will go down.

C'mon...

This is circular. People will be more healthy if they have accessible health care.

That's bullshit. People will still be fat, depressed, cancer-infested, and disease-ridden. Having healthcare, regardless of who pays for it, is not a magic fucking wand for positive health.

Then, why are the ACA rates increasing ?

I just showed you. Insurance companies are corporations. And the ONLY thing corporations have to do is make profit.

It's simple.

Take the profit out of healthcare.

No. You prove that they won't. Because common sense says when you stop paying a middle man costs will go down.

C'mon...

Except you are not taking into account that the government will charge MORE for using their services. Hence the HIGHER TAXES.

Common sense, or your opinion?
Because history says that if Government needs more money they tax you. Government likely will need more money in a single payer system. You do the math.

You sir are so wrong about this.

Common sense says if I have access to PREVENTATIVE medicine I can stave off diseases like diabetes etc.

You're not making sense here.

That's another thing. Companies would save a lot of money if they didn't have to offer health insurance. Logically this extra money would be used to attract talented employees much in the way insurance was, so people (you) would be making more money.

There is no "likely" about it my friend. The government WILL charge BIG TIME for the use of their new "everyone must have this" healthcare service that they now own exclusive rights too.

To deny this is sheer ignorance. If you think Insurance companies charge a lot NOW, then look at how much they PAY OUT, and then give that to the government to charge BACK to the people to make up the difference.

Simple math.

You are assuming people actually care about doing this stuff. Take a look around dude. People are fucking blobs!

And this is where you're wrong. Medicare Advantage, which is completely unnecessary and we would save money by eliminating it, has a 14% overhead regular Medicare only has a 2% overhead. You aren't making sense.

Oh, I agree.

And whose to stop the doctors for charging outrageous fees for their service, because they know they'll get paid from the "Government healthcare slush fund".

Then the Government responds in kind by charging more taxes.

If anything is circular here, it's this scam.

Bullshit again. Having a healthcare card in your wallet no more makes you more healthy as a person than having a gun makes you a police officer.

It's a process that people have to WILLINGLY follow through on. And if you think Americans are going to do what's best for themselves to prevent disease, then you don't know America at all. Short of forcing people into the doctors office, you can't make someone healthy by giving them insurance.

medical and pharma price gouging.

And you don't think this wouldnt happen in a single payer system? It would, and it would directly attribute to a rise in taxes to cover the system.

It's a big fucking scam. Regardless of what system we have.

Yes, some people. The sick and unfortunate will always exist. Shouldn't we still care for them, as Americans? I mean the senate, house, and soon to be Supreme Court is rife with christians, so wwjd?
