Nobody likes Taylor Hendricks? He's got size, athleticism and a decent 3-ball. I think you draft the best SF (meaning 6'8"+ guy not a college SF) available and go from there. If Miller is there, I think you definitely take him and then convince Dame to give it another season. You can always trade Dame next Summer if things aren't looking like they will gel. Also, fire Billups for pity's sake.

Everyone likes Taylor Hendricks. He's nearly a 50/40/80 shooter with a 8' 11" standing reach who likes to block anything either at the hoop or on the perimeter.
I assume he'll be drafted in the top 10.

That's a good point.
There's no reason the Blazers have to be constricted by mock drafts. They have the 3rd pick. They should draft the player that they think will have the biggest impact as a Trail Blazer. Like Walker Kessler, the right player might make an immediate impact.

Joe really has his work cut out for him. If Scoot is available does he pass on Scoot and trade the pick or do we part ways with Dame and draft Scoot? I don’t really see much point in drafting another young unproven player Miller and keeping Dame. I wish I could but I don’t.

what team or teams can we trade dame to that can give us fair value and still remain a contender themselves?

for reference, gobert got utah this:
• Malik Beasley
• Patrick Beverley
• Leandro Bolmaro
• Walker Kessler (No. 22 pick in 2022 Draft)
• Jarred Vanderbilt
• 2023 first-round pick
• 2025 first-round pick
• 2026 pick swap
• 2027 first-round pick
• 2029 first-round pick

Lillard is 33

Towns is 5 years younger and plays a position with less talent around the league

Towns or Ayton

I don't think there's other big available

Embiid would be a dream

3rd overall pick who played for the blazers:

-- Enes Kanter Freedom
-- Carmelo Anthony
-- Darius Miles
-- Raef LaFrentz

Yeah it might not be popular. Sorry to be like a broken record :)
No need to apologize. You have been consistent and like I was saying you may not be wrong. What are they going to do when they are paying him 33% of the cap space? One positive is he will be up for his next contract in a couple years? I wonder what he will demand?

I'd rather have a younger team (that has talented guys with potential above undrafted FA-level guys) that plays its best players for close to 82 games and finishes in the lottery than what we've had the last couple of years.

Who wouldn't prefer that?
Well you got your wish the last couple years i guess. Hope that was enjoyable for you.

We started the year with Nurk/GrantHart/Simons/Dame.

It was so mediocre/bad, that we chose to end up tanking and THEN played all the young kids.
Have to admit December was a bad month. The one point loss to Denver and back to back losses to OKC might have been the tipping points. They also could have won that Warriors game but just seemed to miss shots at the end. I was at the Jan 22nd loss to the Lakers when they had that game but just melted down. I think that game was the final nail in the coffin.

It's weird how a few losses can change a season. Lots of people say early games don't matter but it's obvious they do matter very much.

The Trade Dame clowns make me sick

And none of them was DRAFTED by the Blazers. Guess why we were able to get them cheap? #3 picks that aren't shit tend to get locked up by their team.

Those loses are what helped us see reality and stir to the path of getting the number 3 pick.. it was a blessing

So you think December was really bad; I'd contend it was July that was really bad when the roster was put together that @TBpup mentioned?

If the Blazers had some more wins in December they would've just came back to reality in January. That roster was a joke for trying to legit win with Dame. A few losses in December didn't rob the team of some winning contending chance, that roster just never had it.

The team put themselves in a position of having to full on tank midway through the year from either incompetence or an elaborate entire year stealth losing campaign. I'd love if it was the latter, but I'm afraid it was the former and we're now getting set to repeat that process the following year.

I thought we gave it one last shot vs Philly late in the year in Nurk’s first game with Thybulle. We played great but lost on an Embiid shot late. That broke us.
