What about a 4 way?

#3 + G Harris ($13.0M) + Knox ($3.0M) to Pelicans
Zion ($33.5M) to Nets
Simons ($24.1M) to Orlando
Bridges + Claxton ($21.7 + $8.8M) + #11 to Portland
4 team trades are hard to pull off but this would be fantastic for us and seems like it would make sense for the other teams involved, if the Nets are in the mood to gamble like they were when they picked up Ben.

Along with that, the Hornets are taking calls on the pick, and for the right price, would be willing to move it, reports suggest. But a league source said they are seeking “the sun, moon, the stars and maybe some beachfront property” in exchange.

Hope we have the same approach.

Scares me because it makes me think they will just take Scoot and stash him into the right deal comes along.

I prefer that to Cronins previous comments about finding "fair" deals for both teams and looking out for guys and sending them where they want to go. He needs to prioritize Portland's needs first.

There is no fair. This league is dog eat dog, and you'd better be the dog not getting eaten.

I fucking love Cam Whitmore.

I was dead wrong about Tari Eason last year and how his BBIQ (or lack of) would impact his game, and I have the same question of Whitmore. The guy makes some of the worst decisions I've ever seen.

But at 6'6, 230+ lbs, he might have a better first step than Scoot.

If I wasn't still hesitant about BBIQ, he'd be my #2 and it wouldn't even be close.
BBIQ is important, but it gets exponentially more important for star players.

I LOVE Eason as a player. He's perfect in that 5th/6th/7th man hustle & garbage man role.
When talking about a potentially 'face of franchise' type player, you can't have any question regarding their BBIQ.

I’d pry Duren from Detroit
I'd want more. I don't see Duren having a ceiling more than a starter.

Add a future pick or two and 5, and maybe we can move down if nothing better manifests. This only if Scoot is taken 2. If he's there at 3, take Scoot and thank your lucky stars Charlotte screwed up.

That’s definitely one way to look at it. The other way is when he played last year, it was MVP level and his team was 18-8, best in the West. He’s young enough to turn things around.
I would not trade #3 for Zion unless he showed up for a physical in the best shape of his life. Is that likely? Not remotely. I would however take a chance and trade Ant and Nurk for him.

I don't understand why that scares you, would you prefer the Blazers trade #3 for a shitty return so a trade is done immediately at the draft?

If Blazers draft Scoot at #3 they still have many weeks during free agency to work on multiple trade deals while the whole league is changing their rosters. I'd much prefer the Blazers draft BPA and hold out for deals that makes sense; than agree to a poor return. The Blazers shouldn't try to hurry and get the roster finalized in the hours of the draft; 4 months before they play games.

Sure is. 82 games is a long season. What good is going 18-8 when you only play 30 out of 82 games?

How many people said the same about Embiid?

yep...a lot of people after this sequence of events:

Embiid suffered a stress fracture in his back in March 2014.[19] He missed that year's Big 12 tournament and NCAA tournament. Kansas lost in the second round (round of 32) of the NCAA tournament.

On 26 August 2014, Embiid signed his rookie scale contract with the 76ers.[23][24] He was later ruled unlikely to play at all in the 2014–15 season due to the broken navicular bone in his foot.[25] After missing the entire 2014–15 season, it was announced on 13 June 2015 that Embiid had suffered a setback in his recovery after a CT scan revealed less healing than anticipated.[26] It was later determined that Embiid's chances of playing in the 2015–16 season were slim following a second round of surgery on his right foot on 18 August 2015.[27][28] He missed the entire 2015–16 season.

It scares me because I think Scoot has a lot more value than Miller. Or Amen.

ill push back on this. Many people had Oden type concerns due to injuries for Embiid, but i doubt anyone had a work ethic/weight issue with him.
Zion may never sprain anything or be sore again and im still not sure i want him. I think he is somewhat overrated, doesn't have the type of body for an nba season and doesn't have the discipline to stay in the league for many years.

im steering clear of him for Anything that includes the #3.
Zion for Ant and Nurk? Okay ill take a flyer.

Zion might be only 22 and his off the court shit may go away through maturity. However he’s too fucking big to play how he does, I don’t see any possibility of getting older helping his body stay more healthy while playing his style of basketball. PASS.

Have you ever considered that some of us might read your moniker as kings peed. I mean I'm sure every king there's ever been has peed, so it's very accurate.
My Herro comment was a reply to a way earlier post that Miami was just Jimmy, Bam, and undrafted guys. Thus, he forgot about hero. Not sure why his quote wasn’t in my post.
