I’m starting to become more and more of a Yang glazer as I’m watching him. I was a big Sarr supporter last year, and I’m thinking about it more and more, I’m much happier nabbing another 1st and grabbing Yang than drafting Sarr with a top pick in last year’s draft. I don’t think Sarr is miles better than Yang on defense, I DO think Yang looks much more polished than Sarr on offense.
At the end of the day, we need to remember that Wemby is in our conference. We need more than one guy to guard Wemby. Two guys with similar skillsets just means 12 fouls and possibly not missing a beat on either end when one is in for the other. And if Yang is good enough to play 30mpg as well, we will find a way to make it happen with his skillset. This isn’t a bad problem to have.
Honestly, Grant out for more shooting next, no picks, I’d be okay with it.
