So like CJ, Nurk, Collins, Simons, Layman and a first for instance?
 
I really don’t think there is any trade that makes sense for New Orleans that does not include Lakers or Boston. Unless Philadelphia come and offer you Ben Simmons there’s really no deal that makes sense. IMO there are two paths I would take if I were them but some moves are basically universal in both of them.

First couple of moves:
  • Trade Mirotic to Sixers for their 2019 first round pick and an expiring or Fultz
  • Look for a new home for Jrue Holiday, preferred destinations being Dallas and Indiana. Either get Smith and Matthews expiring or Sabonis and a bunch of expiring contracts
You get some extra young assets and ensure that you don’t finish with more than 32 wins this year which should be good for no. 8 pick or better.

Then you either:
  • Trade AD to Lakers and get back their 2019 first round pick, Ingram, Kuzma, Ball and 2021 pick
  • Wait until Summer and trade AD to Boston and get back Tatum, Smart plus Grizzlies pick (they can’t really get any of their 2019 picks as they can only trade for him after July 1)
You are left with a few solid young players, future picks and own at least two and possibly 3 or 4 first rounders in 2019. That’s a solid reboot here.

I'd give them three to get Davis and get rid of Turner. Gotta get Mirotic in that deal.

I was thinking along these lines, wonder if we could add in Simons and a first to that to get back Holiday. Would do that before in a heartbeat then.

We'd have to give them 2 firsts already at least in that deal

It's going to cost more. Davis is their star player, the face of their franchise. It'd be much like if we had to trade Dame.

Perhaps. It’s still not close to enough. Boston can knock that deal out of the park.

Can they? A lot can happen if they wait. What if Kyrie bolts? What if Tatum is dominant in the playoffs ?

What teams? I've been on the Pels board and Thunder, Knicks, Golden State and Houston and none of them have given the Blazers a second glance. All of them have him going to LA except a few on the Knicks who want him in New York and of course the Warrior Fans who say he is going there.

Warriors shouldn't be allowed to make trades till their super team breaks up
