Possibly, but if that trade results in AD leaving in 2020 and Dame maybe considering leaving in 2021 then you just made the team way less valuable.I would think having a roster of Dame/Nurk/AD would be very attractive to a new owner and help the future sale.
Just a thought? I don't even know if it is at all realistic at all. But what if the Blazers got Davis and looked at what he did with the team over the remainder of the season. If things were awesome then great but if not wouldn't they still be able to trade him this summer and pick up some pieces that would make the team better than it is now?I still think the Blazers should roll the dice and go get him even if he might leave. Who knows if they could put together a package NO would want but that would add some excitement for the next two playoffs.
What player does the Lakers/Knicks/Clippers/Bucks have that comes close to what CJ does....even more so when he plays without Dame?
It's frustrating how we are never even in discussion. CJ is a better piece than anything these other teams could offer.Ouch. Guess Dame isn't a star and the stigma of Portland reigns.

So now CJ is better than anything these teams have to offer. Not saying it isn't true but he gets little respect around this place.CJ is a better piece than anything these other teams could offer.
Clippers could offer Tobias Harris, Montrezl Harrell, and one of their rookies. It would be tight but they could still get enough for a max contract I believe. However from the Pelicans view Harris could bounce after the season and that trade would look horrible. What player does the Lakers/Knicks/Clippers/Bucks have that comes close to what CJ does....even more so when he plays without Dame?

Knicks don't have much to offer other than if they get lucky in the lottery, certainly not right now though other than Ntilikina, Knox, an expiring, and a couple of their future 1sts they have and the two Mavs ones.
Lakers offers are overrated in my opinion.
Bucks have the same problem as the Clippers. The most obvious player would be Middleton but he can also leave after this year. So it would have to be something like Brogdon, Maker, DiVencenzo, and Hill when his contract becomes eligible to trade in a few days. They've traded away a couple future 1sts already so it would be hard to include those too.
If they don't like the Lakers offers none of these other teams have the right pieces if I'm the Pelicans.
I think even most of the people who are hard on CJ acknowledge that if he was running his own team he would be much better. So now CJ is better than anything these teams have to offer. Not saying it isn't true but he gets little respect around this place.
Not going to disagree at all with you there. Running his own team though would put him in a position to be doubled every game. He did well last week but players were making shots. I guess it depends on what team and the players around him.I think even most of the people who are hard on CJ acknowledge that if he was running his own team he would be much better.
That's good? If Ball and Ingram were on any other team than the Lakers that offer wouldn't even come close to being thought of as fair value for AD.Sorry, the lakers offer is really really good. If its Ball/Ingram 2 1sts and taking back Hill, the only other packages that might beat that is the number one pick from NY (unlikely) and Tatum (unlikely)
His career numbers are around 26 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in games Dame doesn't play in. He'd be an All-Star with those numbers on a different team. Not going to disagree at all with you there. Running his own team though would put him in a position to be doubled every game. You're not even throwing Kuzma in there? Damn.Sorry, the lakers offer is really really good. If its Ball/Ingram 2 1sts and taking back Hill, the only other packages that might beat that is the number one pick from NY (unlikely) and Tatum (unlikely)
Well again. If he was the main player on a team he would come against a different look defensively. But i can't disagree he would probably do very well. I can pretty much guarantee he won't put up those numbers alone on a different team and certainly he would not be a lock as an All-Star in the west. Not even sure about it in the East? Though i'm sure his chances would greatly improve. His career numbers are around 26 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in games Dame doesn't play in. He'd be an All-Star with those numbers on a different team.
Would not be so sure about that. Then you have players taking vets minimum to go play there. So pretty much LA would be stuck with AD-Bron and not much else without an immediate avenue to improve.
I'd be somewhat OK with it

So Anthony Davis wanting out after Cousins left for GS means the management is not doing what it needs to do. Davis is going to leave. The Management is shopping him to get the most they can. I would say that is the best they can do.If I were a fan of the Pels, I'd quickly realize that ownership and management are not going to do what needs to be done to build a winner.
