To me if Sanchez is immediately telling you to challenge it that should make up most of your mind right there. Beyond that just say your video people didn't have a conclusive look. Saying something as moronic as I didn't want to break Green's rhythm made him sound like a fool.

Girardi IS A FOOL, so him sounding like one is par for the course.

...like Harold Reynolds pointed out, Joe should not have been worried about losing a review request...especially at that point in the game.

Especially, when in the 7th inning and on the umpires will look at anything close themselves. Sadly, Girardi was completely lost in that moment.

...yeah, I thought about that too...surprised the Umps didn't review that play, especially since the batter didn't act like get got hit.

...I don't think anyone could logically argue that Cleveland has not been the better team but hell, we coud be going home for 2 games with the series tied.

...coulda, shoulda, woulda,.....didn't.

The back of The Daily News is funny..... It says WTF Joe.

Another one of tthose "7" year Yankee plays we'd like to forget. In the 1957 world Series a Braves Batter named Nippy Jones was hit in the foot. The umpire made a wrong call, Jones challenged and they found a black shoe polish smudge on the ball and Jones was awarded first. Eddie Matthews hit a two run bomb and Milwaukee won the game. About the time that the Green play happened I had to let my dog out and when I came back the salami was over the wall. Heard all the controversy, just saw the post game and cannot Girardi said what he said. I've supported that man since day one but did not agree with what he said. Green rhythm BS, the guy was struggling. Still the Yankees has a lead and a chance, I believe that that Toreyes fuck up let all of the remaining air out of the bag. To lose after they handed Kluber his ass is devastating.

who gets the last laugh, NO ONE!

i posted for years on NY rangers board, girardi & staal kill any chance for a cup, was banned for being negative. last year most of the posts on that board were about how these 2 sucked, that they should be gone, it took years for rangers fans to get it!

now on to clueless joe, posted for years about his ways, how his immature way of thinking the game would kill the yankees chances, NOW, i think you finally get it! these kids are to good for this moron!

don't think this post will last because of how this board is managed, but PASTA LIVES ON to try and help others understand elsewhere.

My biggest Girardi complaint is that he has often shown no feel for managing within the game. You cannot always follow preconceived game plans when there's no reason to. Use your eyes and have some respect and belief in your players. If it was back in the day there's old time pitchers that would've cursed Girardi back into the dugout if he tried nonsense like that. Removing CC at 77 pitches because Green was the plan was just plain stupid. You have a veteran on the mound who had a fantastic season. He's cruising in the game and it's in Cleveland of all places. One out with a man on first and after that out you're taking him out in the sixth inning with a five run lead. Why?

That should have given it away to girardi right there that a player could get hit in the hand with a 95 mph heater and instead of shaking it in pain and heading toward first he acted like nothing happened. That and his catcher who is a foot away telling him the player wasn't hit. Maybe because it was the 6th inning the auto ump review wasn't in effect yet.

Thats the worst part of this. We should be going home tied with arguably our 2 best starters lined up to win the series and not having to see Kluber again. Now, thanks to I still don't know what logical non challenge reason by Mr. binder one of the worst Yankee playoff losses ever instead

Some of the twitter videos by someone named Brendan Kuty are hysterical and if you have access you should check them out. I heard francessa this morning on evan's show saying he's hearing there has been some discord in the dugout with players this season and girardi and that he is not a sure thing to come back.

Good.......I think it's time for a change.

It's pretty outrageous that you have your catcher telling you it hit the bat, Headley screaming in the dugout that the batter didn't react or go towards first and still Girardi insisted on waiting for his video people. It's like I said about taking out CC the man sometimes has no feel for managing within the game. We all know there would've been no downside to challenging right away. That's why later on Girardi's made up the nonsense about Green's rhythm was disappointing. Joe couldn't own up to his mistake.

One would think with Kluber giving up 6 ER's in 2.2 IP, a Win would be forthcoming...

Even if Joe had called for a review, I'm not sure the replay officials would of even got that much right. Chisenhall's lack of reaction to being hbp, was enough to ask for a review. His post game interview, "I'm not the Ump" told all...

sad to lose a game like this-

...in the PS they need to do away with the 2 appeals only and the 7th inning and onward rule...I mean, the idea is to get it right, right?...especially in the PS.

Seen an article today claiming Joe admitted to his mistake 1 day later. As many of you know I have supported Girardi from say one. Yes he has made moves that make one wonder but failing to challenge was an extreme bad gig. Sorta like that Britton Jays move Showalter failed to make. I guess a lot of Yankee Fans ripped Girardi pretty bad over this one. I also remember an article by Marchand earlier this season claiming that Girardi would be up shit creek without a paddle if this team failed. Does not matter that the team arrived early and made the play offs with the wrong move at the right time. But there were other moves also contributing to the loss as well. I missed the 2nd inning letting my dog out and found the score tied, later found that Frazier had mad 2 errors. Same way in the 6th, dog had to go out and when I came back in the salami was going over the wall. Girardis decision not to challenge and the pitcher rhythm excuse was the ah shit for the atta boys. I'm pretty damn sure that none of the other 29 managers make mistakes as well but this is the Yankees in the post season so it is amplified. A line from an old Hank Williams tune is "You ain't never know to be wrong, and I ain't never been right. So this will be up in the air. The only two men I'd want to be the manger of this team Showalter & Francona are already employed. Unless the Yankees can turn this and make a series it's going to be a lon cold winter.
