Don't forget Pink Hatters on ESPN Tonight at 7 pm.

^^^^^hate to correct you, Lillie. They are actually playing on BSPN.....all rights reserved for the Boston Sports

Okay Cage they do love those Pink Hatters.

^^^^^ :blazerwookie:That what the BoboSox get when they start an untested rookie against a
Major League Baseball team.

My Husband just put his ear plugs in as I'm cursing up a storm. :rotfl:

Looks like Yankees will be 1/2 game out of 1st place. Yet, best record in all of baseball.

-A shit team like Baltimore went in there scored a total of 3 runs won both games. Yankees should sweep the damn series as well. Lay out some Bronx Baseball in Queens and show New York National who the City Diamond Kingpins are.

200wLGUG7C07.gif Tanaka: Give me the ball. I'm ready .

Been going through the All-Star ballot, and what an eye opener. Usually selected all-stars have combined
very good to excellent numbers. Hard to find this year. Averages are way down. Many players will be selected
on the basis of past reputation and on media hype. For example, Gary Sanchez has 12 HRs, 35 RBIs with a
paltry .201 BA. So, the question is, ‘ Are stats the only measure to pick an All-Star’? Not this year. In fact, as in
past years many fans will just stuff the ballot box with their favorite ball players regardless how they perform.

Let’s go Yankees. The underdog Metsies, who lost to the miserable Orioles, will be sky high
for their cross-town rivals....according to their manager, Mickey Callaway. Let’s show them
what “sky high” looks like!

exactly and Hometown fans across the nation will vote for their favorite players regardless of poor or good performance. The AS game has become more of a fans beauty dream contest, than one based upon actual performances, Sad enough....Imo, Fans should get ONE vote, and only One.
Players and Coaches should get a vote, in a equation that makes each Player/Coaches Vote count more Fans. Thus the Fans still get to vote, but the real vote would be something like-
If 10 Million fans vote, then each Players vote counts for 10, 000,001, thus trumping Fans votes by a small margin, yet enought to turn blind homer fans votes. I think something like that....:nerd:

Lion: I'm adding this thread to the AS Post....

Vic Dibitetto-
" if you stuck a bat up my ass and sent me to the plate blindfolded I would still
bat 2.05 or 2.10" :biglaugh:

^^^ "bark up my hole and slobber on my pole"?....lmao.

Vic has a very unique way of saying things....
The kind of guy who can kick someone in the ass (or balls) and make 'em feel like they were patted on the back....

My of 14, Yankees Whitley, Mets de Grom, first assignment for both pitchers, Whitley turned dud, I think he's still a Ray. de Grom, stud, still out there. I wonder what the "Toddfather thinks of Andujar?

Let's hope the Yanx pick up where they left off, i.e. Shut Out pitching-

Yankees pitchers shut out Toronto in 13 innings on Wednesday, marking only the second time in the last 42 seasons (since 1977) they recorded a shutout in a game that lasted at least 13 innings (also 15 shutout innings on 8/7/09 vs. Boston).

  • Went 15-5 vs. the National League in 2017, setting a club record for most Interleague wins in a single season
  • Went 7-3 in NL parks in 2017, winning six of their final 7G.
  • At 227-157 (.591), have the second-best Interleague record and second-most wins all-time

Let's hope Stanton isn't sleepwalking thru this game....

Stanton is a career .409/.480/1.000 (9-for-22) hitter with 1 double, 4HR and 3BB vs. Jacob deGrom, the most HR deGrom has allowed to any batter in his career...

Stanton has 21HR in 52G at Citi Field, most by any visiting player...
his .613 SLG is highest at the ballpark among all players (min. 100AB)...has 4HR in his last 5G at Citi Field (since 5/6/17) and 9HR over his last 15G (since 4/11/16).

Yesterday-

That was great. Wouldn't be surprised if kid is from around here yanks have him throw the first ball out for an upcoming game. Nothing like the enjoyment of a kid at a game and his favorite player (Judge) hits one out to win the game.
