Ibaka and Howard.... that would be a niiiiiiiice offseason if Neil could pull it off.

Ibaka and Monroe would be....... pretty decent.

Yeah, they have kanter and adams.

But would ed davis and a 1st intrigue them? Davis is cheap and does the dirty work like they like.
My guess? Not even and I love Ed. They go for wing not big in trade. They have plenty of people in house to replace Ibaka.

Ibaka is exactly the type of player we need. A good rim protector and can hit a jumper.

Trade plumlee or ed davis and clevelands 1st for him and a 2nd this year to take gp2 (if they have one, i dont have the order in front of me)
I would love Ibaka, but something tells me Cleveland may try to get in a 3way deal with HOU involved.

Cavs: Serge Ibaka

Thunder: Kevin Love, Trevor Ariza, and Clint Calela

Rockets: Enes Kanter

Would be interesting if we got Bolomboy. But if we get a pick around that range I think it's more likely we go for GP2. I think Bolomboy would make more sense if we still had our pick, not really a swing for the fences kind of guy.

I would build a statue of neil olshey outside the moda center with my bare hands if he pulled off ibaka and howard.

Give okc ed davis, cleveland 1st and trade plumlee for a future 1st to give them too if they balk at davis and one 1st.

Id be ecstatic with a howard or whiteside or horford and ibaka frontcourt. Still would have the option of bringing meyers back for depth (and renouncing harkless) or rolling with aminu at the 4 sometimes, and hoping vonleh matures as a backup big to play some minutes while keeping harkless and renouncing meyers

You want to take GP II with a first round pick?

Why? I don't see him getting a second contract in the NBA.

Really?? What team can't use a super athletic guard who can defend. At worst he's a journeyman NBA player. If he ever develops and outside shot he's becomes a pretty good NBA player. IMO his game will look even better at the NBA level where there's more open space.

Feel like his skills are easily available on every d-league team and if he didn't go to OSU, I doubt he would be mentioned much on this forum.

Good - Ibaka/Monroe

Better - Ibaka/Howard

Best - Ibaka/Horford
Ibaka is on an expiring deal tho. Could walk and leave us with nothing.

We learned our lesson with the Afflalo deal I hope... so if we do get involved, we need assurance of him staying long term.

No. He plays elite defense, has a hall of famer pedigree, works hard as fuck, athleticism is off the charts and is a great rebounder at the guard spot.

Hes going to be a hell of a lot better than jared cunningham who from osu was a 1st round pick and also couldnt shoot and did the other things worse (but handled the ball a little better)

He's also going to be 24 a month into the season.

Maybe he'll pan out. I just have my doubts.

I bet the Blazers could be discussing a trade for Middleton and Monroe but they don't want to give up the assets.
Why would the Blazers discuss a trade if they weren't willing to give up assets...?

If his name wasn't Gary Payton how many of you would want to draft him?
At the price of a likely middle 2nd round pick, and the fact that we need an elite defensive guard i think many still would.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I (and many others) wanted to draft Delon Wright last year, for pretty much the same reasons. Tough defensive-oriented point guard who would be a good backup for Dame.

Not sure I get the need to mock?

DX has GP II at 52, and nbadraft.net has him at 44. I'm not alone in thinking that GP in the first round is pretty ludicrous.

It would definitely be a reach imo. He doesn't look to have the skill and feel with the ball to be a primary ballhandler . Just not very dynamic with the ball and not an advanced pnr player. Not a shooter and no middle game either.

The one full game I watched, his defensive effort seemed to come and go too. Didn't really fight through screens, and although his athletic ability and instincts allow him to make some impressive plays, on the whole I was left with a very meh feeling about him on that end.

Good phyisical tools, but right now he projects as a 4th guard that's not great on or off the ball who will play some D and make the simple play imo.

Doesn't really excite me.

And would play well next to dame and cj.

Cleveland..... wtf?

Hernangomez defintitely looks intriguing. I see a Ryan Anderson type with more bounce and physicality.

But he also had the name recognition (although not to the same scale of course).
