Concession...
I'm"this close" to agreeing with you guys on Stotts...
I can't go 100% yet due the depletion of the front court, where a once proud rebounding team now can't buy a rebound.
I think Chris Webber is the biggest dumbass on TV (ask him why Dame wears "the number zero") but I agree with his pointing out the lack of ball movement and plays.
Tonight I watched every single player give 50% effort on transition defense.
I've always believed college ball is fir coaches and NBA is about players, still do. But this is getting ridiculous.
That might only thing save Stotts job due to we don't have a good front court to contest shots and rebound the ball so injuries just might save him.

This was the last straw. Team was treating this game like a must win. Cavs were coming home from a game less than 24 hrs ago in Dallas and missing Love.

Terry is sitting there on his hands doing the same shit he's been doing for 8 yrs without holding anyone accountable or changing anything. It's falling on deaf ears.

I don't disagree. I just don't think the Blazers fire him. They are going to blame on Dame and his back spasms

I respect you for saying you might be wrong; but it's unfortunate that it took a TV analyst to persuade you instead of guys on here. I don't believe TV guys and even most GM's and coaches are smarter than some fans. (No matter what HCP might think!)

What I mainly don't get is, he keeps choosing to play Tolliver and Carmelo together as their "bigs" neither can play defense and both are way undersized against other teams bigs. At least play Moses Brown, or Skal more... Or I dunno Little since he is at least strong enough and plays with enough energy to cause some sort of damage down there.

29 to 14 on free throws didnt help either

Only fast break bucket didn't come until Simons breakaway with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

This team is more talented than the G-League Warriors, the Kings without Fox and Bagley and definitely more talented than this Cavs team without Kevin Love...
We beat the Kings WITH Fox before Collins went down.

Not much. 10 games ago people were trying to convince me me this team is more talented than last year. The real problem is that this team has very little talent.

Dame - back spasms
Hood - back spasms
Collins - surgery
Nurk - surgery
Carmelo - 40 years old
Tolliver - 40 years old
Whiteside - hip problem
Skal - ankle injury
Ant - Ankle injury

None of this is Stotts’ fault. Phil Jackson would lose to the Cavs with this beaten-up roster. Put away your damn pitchforks.

Certainly down on talent with the injuries.....but still had the 2 best players on the court in both tonight's game and against the G-League Warriors.

I love Collins as much as any other Blazers fan, but some people on here are treating him like if Paul George came back for the Clippers or something. Zach isn’t going to fix this anemic offense. He can’t get guys to get back on defense.

That 6’5” guy grabbed 6 rebounds in 13 min. And according to you, that is the key to winning basketball games.

He can’t match up on defense or 1v1 rebounding with a true-4 like Tristan Thompson. No chance. He’s doing well at the 3... too bad we don’t need any more 3s

we need someone who can box out 7 footers consistently. We simply don’t have anyone who can.

Blazers were 2-1 with him

3-11 without him

Well when you get the answer to that question please tell me. I would try mix up the lineup by replacing Hood for Little and for now Skals for Toliver until Whiteside comes back that gives little more defense with the 1st unit. Plus if Hood only getting only 7-8 shoots with 1st unit maybe can help the 2nd unit in thay comparment. I would definitely replace Bazemore for Trent I think Trent deserve more run. I would give Hoard a run at the power forward position this until we get Whiteside. When your playing so bad you got to mix things to see something start going right for you.

Carmelo is a big dude who can punish defenders around the hoop. He was 5 of 7 on 2-pointers tonight. But he took 8 3-pointers and missed them all, and ended the game shooting 5-15 for 11 points which is crap. Nobody scored that poorly for the Blazers. (i'm not going to count little who only took 2 shots).

If coaching matters in the NBA , and maybe it doesn't, Stotts needs a plan for Melo or to hold Melo accountable for not attacking whenever he can. Instead, all shots are good in Stotts's mind, especially for Carmelo, who has never been a greatly efficient scorer.

Tristan Thompson for MVP.

MVP! MVP! MVP!

If I shot 100 shots and you and Tristan Thompson were competing for rebounds, how many do you think you’d get?

the answer is 0. That’s how the blazers feel.

True, but the better team doesn't always win even when you play right. The bigger problem is the talent we lost in the off season vs the talent we gained and injuries. Lost talent is almost as big as the injuries.

In the 3 games that Collins played this year, he averaged 4 rebounds per game.
