Will Memphis finish in the standings above the Blazers come season's end?

The Memphis commentators are shocked that McCollum gave Conley about 15 feet of room on that buzzer-beating 31-foot shot. They said they didn't understand what McCollum was doing.

Almost everyone in the world thought that was dumb.

Except hurd. lol.

You guys are crazy re: the D on the 3. You would be pissed even more if he would have gotten close enough for Conley to draw the foul with time running out. And you know they would have call it.

It wasn't 15 feet

Then you make them call it. You pressure that ball 100 times out of 100. It's a no brainer.

Tony Allen, with the best box score stats per minute of the half, suffered a right hip injury and is questionable to return, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

I thought the game started at 3 for some reason. If the Blazers win, I'll watch the 1st half on replay.

No ....you make him make the shot. Yes Conley has improved his 3 point shooting but what he did there....he won't do very often. What he is good at is blowing by people and drawing fouls.
The D might not have been great, but it wasn't that bad.

not exactly the start to the 2nd half that I hoped for.

Maybe it's just me, but we look lazy. Low intensity and not much heart.

Our defense is shit. So many wide open shots given up this half

It just looks like they aren't even trying.

I think these really early brunch road games are always kind of clunky

CJ just got schooled while playing the "You're not gonna make that" defense.

Aminu is trash, Harkless ain't that good, our defense is beyond respectable, all we have is a star and a bunch of scrubs

They had a solid start, and then it's like something happened and they're like intimidated/stupid.

We're just not that good
Uhhh no, our defense is spotty. Our offense is good. If Lillard was having a normal game we'd be tied and that's with Gasol shooting insanely well.

RotoWire carried the report from the Memphis reporter that Tony Allen wouldn't return. He's making shots in the game right now.

Portland sure seems to have the ability to make so-so teams look significantly better than they are. Shame they can't do that to themselves.
