sure, but the way you beat a trap is to pass the ball to other players with enough talent to force the other team to abandon the trap. CJ & Aminu had great games in the series against the Pels last playoffs, but they simply couldn't do enough to make the Pels get out of their defense. A defense can't trap two great players at a time. But Portland only has one great player and one pretender who's injured right now. Stotts can't scheme CJ into Brandon Roy or Aminu into Paul George
Or how bout we dont play into the trap every single possession with predictable and constant high pick n roll? Where's the "flow"? Wheres the "motion"?

Sly all I said was Lillard is having a bad game and that’s the reason we are losing and ended up losing the game. @BonesJones is the one who riles folks up because of my criticism of Dame and then it goes to hell from there.

Everything I said was accurate I mean check out the stats. Kanter and Hood were amazing game was close all night yet our best player was trash that’s all I repeated. I don’t name call, I don’t put people down no none of that

Nah, man. Trolling is the internet version of passive aggression. That shit you say builds up in people and their tolerance shortens. I know I'm wasting my time interacting with you at all, but I hate your posts that much.

If Meyers is gonna play, get him shots. It’s the one thing he’s good at.

This is something I agree with. Why don't they take advantage of his range? Even if he misses, its the THREAT of him shooting that helps the team.

I rile folks up and not you? :biglaugh:

What a joke.

You dont name call? You just said "BonesJones and his goons".

You shouldnt even be here. You've been banned 1000 times and keep coming back like a crazy ex-girlfriend.

Whenever I read "crazy ex-girlfriend" it takes me back... She was crazy, but goddamn nearly worth it.

Now the Blazer that was disappointing was Harkless at least 3 times he stood there flat footed while watching Denver get offensive rebounds and didn't see the energy from him.

you've got goons?

how do I get some goons? I hear they can be handy if a fat lady is in your way at the store
I dont know, I didnt know I had them. I don't even know what that means!

Maybe Nuggets rest their players come Sunday

Someone on twitter was complaining how Dame has been off since Nurk went down - in the meantime, he literally earned NBA Player of the Week.

But he didn't earn greatest player ever!

Yeah, but there was still something seriously wrong with him tonight.

I went back and read all the gameposts I missed and not sure if cityofroses did anything all that bad seems like he/she was getting just as much crap as they were giving. Yes it was trollish but just about everything they said 3-4 people responded too in a manner that was almost just as trollish.

:dunno:

I don't think they will. The 2nd seed isn't sewn up, the Rocks are still in contention.

It's not going to be easy for them, but the Rockets can win the 2nd seed. The Rockets did win the season series against the Nuggets, so the Nuggets HAVE to finish ahead of them. They need 2 more wins to cinch the 2nd seed, or 1 win and 1 Houston loss.

If anything, the Nuggets will come out gangbusters on Sunday, because they also have to play at Utah (who is also fighting for an option for HCA, against Portland most likely).

He was passive for most of the game.

He nearly had his first scoreless half in 5 years...
Well in the first half they were exploiting mismatches and it was working. Would you rather have Dame force bad shots against double teams? They had built a lead in the 1st quarter that the bench squandered. How is that Dame's fault?

You can say he had a game or you can say he was way way over his average and he pretty much did what he wanted all night. Both would be correct in my book. The guy averages just over 12. He had 16 by half. Pretty much all on Aminu. Not all Aminu's fault because he is way undersized to guard Milsap. But the fact remains Aminu is the starting PF. So in this case Aminu had a tough draw on the defensive end.
Undersized? Strength wise...yes maybe slightly.

But Millsap doesn't win with his size / strength. He wouldn't be nearly as effective for as long as has if that was case.

And he torched every guy we threw at him. Aminu made it the toughest on him of all and it wasn't even close.

It's an account from a poster who was here long before you joined, and has a reputation for trolling fans only when Damian is having bad games. There's a reason why that account was banned, just as there's a reason why people reacted the way they did.

I thought Harkless did better then Aminu on Millsap.

It's not just that. Aminu is undersized to guard a guy like Milsap.

Milsap is about 6'7" and only had half the rebounds Aminu had tonight. I am not sold that Aminu's size is the issue. Was he really muscling him down low with his weight? Either way Aminu is a not the answer at SF. I much prefer him at the 4 against most teams. Hark did not have a good game either IMO.

Cj was missed tonight. To win tough road games you need someone to get hot and put up 30 besides Dame. Not saying CJ would have, but we all know that sometimes he does. Relying on Hark and Chief won't cut it.

I get it, and he probably is Tunchi I said after his 4th post... I just think why let him stick around to begin with he’s gonna troll and be trolled. Not my place to make that decision, just seems like in this case he wasnt the one who really started getting personal until a bunch of posters started trolling him right back.

Disagree.

And he's also smaller than Aminu, so my point still stands.

Defending him with size is not the answer.
I think Harkless has a stronger base and made it harder for Millsap to get to the spots on the floor he wanted to get too. He kind of pushed Aminu around, now Aminu has really good lenth and uses it well, but Millsap was basically getting whever he wanted too.

You still have the fact the Paul Milsap scored 25 points got 7 rebounds and was 9-12 shooting in this game. He led the Nuggets in scoring for this game. They need to adjust Sunday and that adjustment better be giving Aminu help or to get a bigger body on him.

My bet is Stotts will go either with Harkless or maybe figure out a way to get Turner in front of him. Aminu was getting crushed. Multiple times i watched Milsap just blow through him.
