Re: So many empty seats!

The trendy bandwagon hipsters have moved on, they'll be back if it looks like they're good again.

I like that we're trying to score in the paint more tonight

Dang Anthony Davis is putting up numbers. Also Love. No All Star game for LaMarcus. Also- I wonder how Wiggins feels about playing in Utah.

Re: So many empty seats!

Poor marketing and sales. Maybe the uber corporate shit left a bad taste in the mouf

This.

Plus, everyone is moving towards the Timbers. I don't blame them. The Blazers PR has been nothing but a joke.

TRob is trying to show the Kings they made a mistake trading him

He'll Kobe it.

Or they'll rig the draft. That is an almost certainty. If one of the big market teams is in the lottery AT ALL, they will get it.

LMA's shot chart is a thing of beauty right now. 3 shots inside 11ft, 3 shots 15-17. More of this, please.

People want the Blazers to get up for games against teams like the Kings but the fans won't do their part and get up for such games.

the Blazers haven't really given the fans a reason to cheer for a few years now. Lillard is the closest thing to an exciting Blazer related event.

I think the comcast thing plays a MUCH bigger role in fan apathy than people realize.

Eric, I remember that in 2007, the sellout streak didn't start until (IIRC) the DEN game of the 13-game streak.

Fantastic job closing the quarter by the Blazers. 13-4 run to end the 1st quarter.

It's my philosphy, mind you. If I can have a better experience paying $0 to watch it on my couch then paying $15 to be further away from the action (even though in the building) then I will. And I know i'm not alone in that.

I will, though, pay $40 for a lower bowl seat. The difference between 300 level and 200 level is light years. I actually feel like i'm at the game down there instead of just getting vertigo up there.

For a blazers/lakers game up here it's $60 for the last row in the arena... that's a joke. or, more of a joke, $200 for 200 level, $500 for middle of the road 100 level.

Also, I don't pay anything face value... I don't go to big movie theaters unless it's on the rare chance it's a great movie, then I use deals... no big stores, and if I do, I only get the cheapest stuff - clearance.

Gotcha. I should be like you. In general, I spend way too much money in my life.

I haven't been paying supreme close attention... have they been bad already?

I was joking, referring to the Houston game.

Yep, we FINALLY got the channel down here and no one even realizes/cares anymore. They've really killed all interest in large portions of the state.

Not only towards the Blazers, but towards Comcast. It's made me never pay for cable again. And I know I'm not alone.

Blazers corporate have started to become corrupt and not about the fan... and Portland fans are very aware of this... so I don't blame the fans for not showing up.

It also doesn't help that there are a lot of GS bandwagon fans down here these days either.

Freeland with the fadeaway swish

haha. I thought it was about the houston game.

Yeah. I also look at it as it's only $15 for the game, then it's gas, most likely dinner, etc. etc.

Or just $0 to sit on the couch.

I don't blame people for wanting to go to a game. I go to 1 or 2 a year... but it does get really expensive.

It's not helping that the Timbers are doing great this year, and their games are on TV far more often.

I know I post here, but my interest in the team has waned a TON since they left Fox Sports. A big part of why I never too upset over losing Oden/Roy/LaMarcus is because I probably saw 3 or 4 games that they played in.

Or maybe they'll just take Jabari Parker who is a Mormon

I don't remember.

Joel Freeland's fadeaway is beautiful.

TRob is sharp tonight

Which is ironic, given that the timbers seem to only play once every couple of weeks. lol.
