Did Brooks just clobber Lebron? I couldn't tell but it looked pretty blatant to me.

What happened to Jaquez Jr? 2 points tonight in 25 minutes? Heat suck.

Simmons is a unicorn. Find another body like his with his skill set. Extremely talented and actually a sad story to me. I guess I don't know the entire story out of Philly but everything with him went south after what many said was being called out by Doc and Embiid for blowing the playoffs for them. Clearly he didn't because Joel and Doc couldn't get it done with any roster they cobbled together!

He's 27 on a hefty contract but has not been healthy, imho (mentally or physically), since leaving Philly. His numbers while at Philly were pretty insane. Then there's his defense...nothing to say there, everybody knows he has potential to be one of the best in the league.
I wish we had gotten him while we had the chance.

Brooks baited Vanderbilt into getting tossed, then hit LeBron with a flying karate chop.

Rockets beat Lakers.

Bobby Portis shot 2-13, but he's batshit crazy, so Doc Rivers was too scared to take him outta the game.

Nuggets win.

Rajon Rondo got arrested by Indiana State police for smoking weed, driving too fast, and carrying a Smitty. (I guess he's not allowed to own a firearm, from something bad he did previously)

Didn’t realize Camara was 23! Damn he’s 4 years older than Scoot?

It would be interesting to see more data on this....
I'm guessing this is more to the Lebron influence than the Laker brand name.

not sure. 4 of the 5 games he's missed this season have been on the road. The one game in LA he missed was against the Blazers. Lakers shot 37 FT's; Blazers shot 9

Lakers have been called for 802 PF's (16.7/game); opponents have been called for 976 PF's (20.3/game)
attempting to stop AD and LeBron will indeed draw some fouls. D'Angelo and Austin falling over after the slightest gust of wind is stupid to watch. The Lakers have turned into the floppiest pack of whiners in the league. Hornacek & Stockton never won a championship by taking dives for a whistle. It's shameful to see King James ending his career surrounded by a team full of whiney floppers.

I mean where we stand right now, the LAL have the fewest fouls called on them per game. They are 7th in FTAs per game. Their opponents have the 6th highest foul rate and the 2nd fewest FTAs. These data cannot be debated. The cause is another matter. I would say LAL is, for one reason or another, using fouls to great advantage.

I don't know how people are still surprised in 2024 by the absolutely ridiculous favoritism that the Lakers get from the refs.

Hey @THE HCP ! Get in here and spin this shit! ^^

Pacers should have traded for RJ Barrett and saved a couple draft picks.

some rowdy Hawks fans gave D'Angelo Russell the business

Looks like the NBA is going to start trying to do whatever it can to get the Warriors out of the lottery.

There were a couple of big challenges in tonight's game with the Sixers. In the first half, Curry hit a 3 and got fouled on it, too. Nurse challenged and the replay clearly showed Curry pushed the defender back, extending his arm before pulling up for his shot.

Challenge failed. The announcers related the reason being that while what Curry did was illegal, it wasn't deemed to be enough to warrant a foul call. Four-point play.

In the second half, the Warriors, I think it was Wiggins, is called for an illegal screen, and it's pretty clear he's moving and putting the defender into the old pro wrestling abdominal stretch.

Kerry challenges. Call overturned. The reason? Kelly Oubre, the help defender, had a hand touching Wiggins as he went to set the pick. No arm extension, no real proof that it influenced Wiggins movement. Not just no foul on Wiggins but a foul on Oubre.

Even the announce team said that seemed really inconsistent in light of the earlier review decision.

I heard one in 3rd qtr. where the shot clock was about to expire. Wiggins was driving, not shooting, and the refs called Springer for a ticky tack call with 0.01 on the clock. If that wasn't bad enough, the refs awarded Wiggins free throws. The announcers, crowd, players were confused because it should have been 24sec violation. Everyone was surprised except that one ref who snuck in a cheater whistle.
