Nurkic at 15.625M X 1.25 + 100K = 19.63M. Ayton makes 30.9M so the trade is 11.3M short

Blazers would need to send 24.7M in salary. Have to wait till the off-season when raises take effect then the Blazers can trade Nurk +Little + Keon. But I don't see any reason for the Blazers to add the 23rd pick

I guess it could be something like that trade for Ayton. and Ant + Knox + 23 to Chicago for DDR + Portland's picks back

Honestly, the Suns probably need cheap players more than they need cap savings. Nurk/Nas/Keon for Ayton wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Ayton is better than people realize. Yeah paid too much, but after ridding of Nurk and probably Simons and a few others it would be close to a wash.
Even Jimmy Buckets thinks Bam will be the reason then heat win it all, if they do. He knows you need a big physical player in the post. Ayton is very young still and does know how to ball. Needs a change of scenery.

I would do it.

The whole reason Phoenix wants to get rid of him is because average starters like him getting paid 35 mil/yr is a massive burden to teams close to the apron. Having a contract like his on the roster will make it difficult to build depth around Dame. Why do we want to not only help Phoenix but take on their problem?

I agree drastically under rated. Talent isn’t concern motor is but I think he’s worth the risk. I’d do Nurk/Ant future 1st or 23rd for him. Then keep the 3rd pick

Agreed. Considering impact/talent/salary I would take all of those guys on that list before Ayton. If fans thought watching Nurkic was frustrating, watching Ayton would be equally or more infuriating. He has all the physical talent in the world, but is probably one of the lowest basketball IQ players in the league. And when he’s not engaged, he completely disappears.

He is overpaid for sure. But look at the potential for the young 24 year old, same age as Ant.
