OLSHEY FIRED

Go back and read up on how KG ended up in Boston and who the head of bball ops was in Minny.

also, look up why Ainge stepped down in Boston and read how players around the league feel about him, and why players like Tatum/Brown insisted on having a Black coach, and why Stevens assumed Ainge's role. Ainge is thought of very poorly by players around the league for his lack of empathy and guys like Anthony Davis deliberately avoided the Celtics as a potential destination solely because of Ainge. We have no need for a guy like that in 2021.
Which all means that's likely exactly who we'll end up with

Stotts gone - not a bad coach but he had grown stale and there weren't signs of improvement.
Neil gone - It was NOT just the coach you dumb&ss!!
......now CJ needs to be moved for a front court player. The four 6'3" guys that are taking nearly 70% of the shots is not a formula that will work.....EVER.

Not to mention taking up over half our salary

haha is is really? You liked your own post, odd. Good to know I live rent free in your head.

As I said many times, never once did I defend Neil. But i think it made you feel better to assume so.

Just hope now we don’t have a GM that trades Dame for Simmons or something dumb like that.

Now that we got rid of Neil, can Quick and Canazno please follow him out the door!

Canzano can.

Quick is actually pretty good. He's honest, which I know a lot of people hate because they have this weird thing where everything about the team must be positive or laden with excuses as to why they suck.

Because, they do suck. And that was on olshey.

We finally have hope and I've forgotten what that feels like as a Blazers fan.

Look again. @SlyPokerDog liked my post.

The only issue I have with this is that it now looks like we are an organization in a tailspin. For what ever reason Dame had bought into Neil's game plan so who knows how this affects Dames head space in staying.

okay I can respect that

I think Olshey knows where Jody's skeletons are buried and Neil will have no problem exposing hers and Vulcan's transgressions in a lawsuit. Jody has a long history of creating a hostile working environment and I'm guessing that extended to Olshey as well. This might get very ugly unless Vulcan gives Neil a phat severance package to keep quiet.

this is how i felt when the news first dropped. i was worried about image and dame's mindset, but a month-long investigation is hard to dismiss as anything but thorough. and dame's allegiance/loyalty to olshey appear to have been overblown.

This probably puts simons and little in a more tradable situation now too…
Who knows how Cronin values those guys

Hey I'm good if they all go. Just make sure they have an ownership group that actually cares about the team.

I wonder what he did that put the investigation over the edge.

Imagine twerking for an asshole just because he gives you the Tony Snell signing 75 seconds before the other guy. (Im talking about Woj)

I'm weird on simons. We need a decent playmaking backup PG and he's that. But, we also have other holes to fill.

Little I would hate to lose, but what is his ceiling, really?

Starting tomorrow, our team must look to the future and move forward.

Shams says they’re beginning the process of finding a permanent person immediately. I’m hoping they find someone by new year. I’m not worried about evaluation time for the new guy, you only need to watch this team play three or four games to get it lol. Hopefully a CJ trade is not far behind.

I'm not second questioning the move. It needed to be made and I fully support the investigation. Just saying that everything is a big mess right now. Loyal or not to Olshey this could be what makes Dame say it's not worth waiting out our current turmoil.

Who ever next GM is he will have a lot a work to do to install a roster to meet the coaches style of play. I don't how much power this active GM will have we have to wait and see. The guy I don't what is Danny the ex Boston Celtics GM. Need be a guy that's comes from successful franchise. Brent Barry is name been thrown out there and now Prince two young guys but also have looked at guys that's in top right now. How about a GM coming out golden state and maybe Atlanta they been drafting very well. Something to think about and do you need hire someone by next year draft.

Lmao. My hunch is Brent Barry.

The nice thing is the glaring holes are so obvious, implementation of moves should be rather easy.

God, fuck olshey. Worst GM we have ever had. At one point there was competition for that spot, but now, he's the clear #1. Fucking dickpunch.

Which is why I think they'll be a shakeup of the roster - a big one - within 2 months of hire for the new GM. CJ should be gone by the all star break if they care at all.

Brent Barry or Tayshaun Prince would be great moves....I just hope they avoid the old guys and bring in some new thinking...I don't want Ainge or Dunleavy, etc.....someone from Chauncey's era would be great

yeah, didn’t they interview Barry for head coach? The familiarity, even if limited, will help him. I’m really intrigued by Prince though. Have read a lot of good stuff about his time in Memphis and you know there would be a healthy collaboration with Billups.
