What was with those play calls in OT on 3rd and 4th down? I know the game should have never made it to OT but just no imagination at all.Oooof. Bray is gone after the year. Silly play calling and the team has absolutely no dawg in them

Absolutely terrible play call. I couldn't believe it.The 4th down run it up the middle was insane. Their offensive line has been dog doo all year.
OuchEat that haters! You know who you are.
Looks like Sly and his predictions are on their way to being true.
This is what I’m talking about. I keep hearing how cool it is that they got so-in-so state to join their “conference” And I was like “WHO!!??” Beavers fans won’t give a fuck about watching their team play Texas U or whatever they’re called. UCLA/CAL/UW now you’re talking. Is this the most depressing era in the history of the Beavers Football?
Yeah there were 20 whatever straight losing seasons and no bowl games is the 80-90s but at least as a member of the Pac10 had the dream of one day being able to improve.
It was one of the best options they could have had. Better than the doom and gloom some posters had around here saying we wouldn't even have a conference and would cease to exist. This is what I’m talking about. These are two different things. I said it was very cool TXST joined. But it's also super depressing Beavs era the last few years. This is what I’m talking about. Moreover. What are they supposed to do. Just stop football altogether? These are two different things. I said it was very cool TXST joined. But it's also super depressing Beavs era the last few years.
There was no way to have UCLA/Cal/UW. So I don't see why you bring those up? The options were the likes of sac State, UTEP, Montana, or some New Mexico school. TXST is much better than those.
Yeah agreed, Beavs should just do the best they can which the most part I think they have tried. Maybe coach is bad in ways or not but really thats not relevant long term.Moreover. What are they supposed to do. Just stop football altogether?
Quit sports?
Close the school permanently.
You make the best out of a bad situation and try to make improvements.

HCP brings up all the time that the Beavs have worse conference situation than years ago. Duh we all know that and it really sucks. It's like some rich person walking around telling poor people they are all poor. As if we don't know that.
Maybe OSU/WSU should have taken different actions the last few years of the PAC and tried to get media deals locked up. Those are things more like 5 years ago and have no bearing on recent Beaver decisions. Once USC/UCLA bolted and the Pac couldn't get a decent media deal the conference future was doomed. Been saying it since I started school at OSU in '99 that the Beavs were always super fortunate to have been in the Pac the last 100 years. But once the LA schools with their market left and the other big market/big donor schools had demand the Beavs were in a horrible position. It's also just a product of CFB TV deals in the current era that there is all this realignment. If in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's there had been this type of movement from TV deals all 3 of the Beavs/Ducks/Cougs would have got left out of the Pac8/Pac10 back then since they were all losing programs during those eras.
YES. They’ve only had a team for a couple seasons anyway right? The “fans” couldn’t be TOO attached to them.Moreover. What are they supposed to do. Just stop football altogether?
.
Did you attend OSU?Yeah agreed, Beavs should just do the best they can which the most part I think they have tried. Maybe coach is bad in ways or not but really thats not relevant long term.

Yeah only like 130 years. We can let that go.YES. They’ve only had a team for a couple seasons anyway right? The “fans” couldn’t be TOO attached to them.
Are you serious? 130 years……. Stop!Yeah only like 130 years. We can let that go.
Hahaha. Yes the Beavers have had a football team for 130 years. Are you serious? 130 years……. Stop!
From what I've read on the situation the past couple years, OSU did try to get into the Big 12 and were rejected. The Big 12 even said they wanted a strong baseball conference. OSU is a premier baseball team.I've said this before, I think the Beavers' AD handled this very poorly. His focus and statements were on complaining about the Ducks leaving. Did he meet in person with any of the ADs from the Big 12? Call them? Did OSU's President call/meet any of the Big 12s Presidents? While I haven't looked, I'm willing to bet that OSU's academics exceed the majority of the schools in the Big 12.
Remember, the Ducks took a huge haircut to join the Big Ten.
Did the Beavers make any such offer to Big 12?
Did the Beavers do anything to market themselves to the Big 12?
In this era of mega-conferences and mega-TV deals, the Big 12 could have had schools in every time zone.
I believe that OSU got caught flat-footed and just went along with what WSU did.
I love OSU, it sucks to see what is happening.
The mood around the football program sucks right now. Your AD, instead of a coaching search, went with the guy who didn't leave with Jonathan Smith, because fans wanted the guy who still loved them. ADs have to be stronger than fans. Remember, lots of former Duck players were so butt hurt over Cristobal leaving that they wrote a public letter demanding Oregon hire Cal's fucking coach because he was a former Duck. Our AD had the strength to go against Joey Harrington and gang on that.
Seriously, it's time for OSU to get a new AD. Find the right person, and have them look at this entire Pac-12 situation with fresh eyes.

Their baseball team would have been even better too if the Ducks didn't get Jelly of their success and bring their team back.
I mean, that's what anyone would say if they attempted to join a league and were turned down.View attachment 75407
In the midst of the Pac-12's collapse, Oregon State University (OSU) explored various options for the future of its athletic programs, including potentially joining the Big 12 Conference.
However, OSU's primary preference was to rebuild the Pac-12.
Here's a breakdown of OSU's actions regarding conference realignment:
While joining the Big 12 was considered, the focus for Oregon State ultimately shifted to rebuilding the Pac-12.
- Considering all options: Following the departure of most Pac-12 schools, Oregon State had to consider numerous paths forward, including the Big 12, HERO Sports reports.
- Prioritizing Pac-12 rebuild: Oregon State Athletic Director Scott Barnes stated that rebuilding the Pac-12 was the program's top choice.
- Legal actions to control Pac-12 assets: OSU and Washington State (WSU) filed a lawsuit against the Pac-12 to gain control of the conference board and its assets, enabling them to potentially rebuild the league. The Washington Supreme Court ultimately sided with OSU and WSU, giving them control of the Pac-12's assets.
- Rebuilding the Pac-12: OSU and WSU, in collaboration with the Pac-12, have since announced that Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Utah State, and Gonzaga will join the conference starting in the summer of 2026.
The 2026 Oregon State baseball schedule features the Beavers opening their season February 13-16 in Surprise, Arizona, at their annual tournament, facing Arizona, Stanford, and Michigan. The Beavers will play one additional game against Michigan on Monday, February 16, rounding out the four-day event. While the full 2026 schedule has not yet been released, the season-opening slate provides the first glimpse of their upcoming season
I mean, that's what anyone would say if they attempted to join a league and were turned down.
I went back through the thread we have on this.
Colorado announced they were leaving on July 27th.
On July 28th, teams are scrambling in the Pac-12. OSU announces they're sticking with the Pac-12.
Az, Az St, Utah, all talking with Big 12.
August 3rd. They bolt.
August 4th. Ducks and Huskies announce they're leaving.
Going by press reports, it really does look like the Beavers did nothing after July 28th.
I see no reports that the Beavers talked with the Big 12 when Az, Az St, and Utah were.
I understand this was a fast-moving situation, but I really think OSU's AD completely fumbled the ball.
That is simply amazing. I had NO clue.Hahaha. Yes the Beavers have had a football team for 130 years.
