GO BLAZERS!

AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

The crowd should be off the hook! Go for the jugular Blazers. Don't give them a shred of hope. Put your foot down early and often.

:matrix:

I looked at tickets, and the only ones left are over $100+ so I'm not going. At most I could spend $40-$50.

MODS, please merge this with my OFFICIAL game 3 thread!

I got about 4 hours of sleep, wide awake now watching game replays. Should get home from work in time to throw on the lucky przybilla jersey. Ill also be wearing a cup because last game I punched myself in the balls to make sure I wasnt dreaming.

The regular season was just a warmup. Sort of an apetizer. Now it's time for the jugular season. Then we eat their still beating hearts. :)

Tonight's game worries me. I fear a huge Blazer letdown.

Yes, I would like to think that this year's squad is more mentally tough than teams past, but this absolutely looks like a trap "we got this in the bag, we are at home, we'll just show up and win" kind of Blazer game that the team has played and lost many times before.

Houston is still a very dangerous team. Harden is not going to continue to be cold from the field. Lin or Parsons can catch fire and shoot the Rockets to victory. The Blazers can still lose this series.

Hopefully Stotts has drilled this into the team's brains and they will show up hungry and focused tonight, regardless of the crowd excitement.

Awesome job Darkwebs! I am supremely confident in this Blazers team - they certainly don't lack for focus. Houston on the other hand has several players whose mental fortitude has been questioned before.

The mod just closed HCP's pregame thread. I think it serves a useful purpose to segregate the anticipation about, How do I get a ticket, I bet it will be loud, etc.

Shoulda kept it open.

The Blazers promote the game thread on their website and social media. Having two game threads only confuses things. Can't merge the threads because that would put Darkweb's graphics at the bottom of the previous posts.

Okay, whatever. I find it less confusing to segregate 3 pages of anticipatory happy talk. You could title it Pregame Thread...it's not important. Keep them happy.

Man I don't see that in this team at all. I think they are mature enough to recognize it's time to press harder and break Houston completely rather than give them a glimmer of confidence.

The players think the fan base was passionate before. Wait till after tonight lol, all the new guys will be impressed

But the regular season doesn't back up this conclusion. I'm hoping the playoffs are different, but our recent history is that we just kind of play along, only working hard to kill at team at the end of the game.

I want us to develop a killer instinct from the beginning of the game.

The regular season is a different season with different mindsets and reaction by players. A game against a conference top 4 team is never a "Trap" game in the NBA, especially for an underdog.
