Given what I've seen from the public....the odds aren't great that enough people will be responsible

Biden is about to slam the door on his presidency for me. Americans need that stimulus money right now, not weeks or months from now. Biden has the backing of Americans at 80% support for, he even has a few republicans on record for $2,000 checks. Biden has the political clout and backing right now to get $2,000 stimulus checks out the door. Biden has no excuse for not getting this done.

Biden made a promise for $2,000 stimulus checks if the democrats won Georgia. They won it and yet Biden has already dropped the stimulus checks to $1,400, even before the package makes it to the floor for debate. Sorry, but I find that pathetic. Broken promise, in your first days in office. Not the best way to start your presidency.

You seem to not understand that $2,000 instead of $600 (which is what was approved) means an extra $1,400.

It also seems like you do not understand that until congress approves this - there is nothing Biden can do with it - we have a constitution and give Biden responsibility for an act he has no authority over.

Maybe a good idea is to read a bit about how things work under the law in this country.

Frankly, you are going to be disappointed no matter who is president if you do not understand how things work and who can do what.
