Truthfully though, maybe we needed this to happen. To see the true makeup of our country, to clearly glimpse how rooted those ideologies are in the bedrock of our history, in our very constitution.

We have made strides in this country with civil rights, women's rights, gay rights, equality, etc. But, the root remained. You can pull a weed, but if you leave the root, the weed will grow back.

I can understand why you asked that. You're obviously the wife in your relationship. Your partner has the career, the assets, you seem to do most of the cooking. If roles in relationships have to be labeled then yours is one of the easiest to define.

It’s not WHAT you ask, it’s HOW you ask it. But then, you knew that. And not even a legitimate attempt to look dumb….so now you do the part where you do the Urkel thing and ask, “Did I do that?”………..talk about doubling down…..

Is it that freakin' sensitive of a subject?!? As far as I know, the current law states someone has to be listed as the husband and a wife. Pete was listed as the wife. It's not unreasonable to be curious.
