Well, if every time somebody proves you wrong with a valid, fact-based and sourced post you actively attempt to turn the thread into a dumpster fire of accusations and attacks there will eventually be consequences.

Just have discussions in good faith with an open mind, and treat people well and you will not be banned.

Valid, fact-based, and source posts? I've yet to see anything that isn't challengeable. Look, we all have our own ideas and world views. Nothing at all wrong with that. Oh, and I'm not the one turning threads into dumpster fires. Look around.

I wasn't referring to you, or even necessarily the current discussion. I don't think you're at risk of being banned.

I was simply referring to the general comment about being banned from this forum. There is no risk of that happening with regard to this conversation from anything I've seen.

Kind of curious here... What plan other than Bernie Sanders MFA plan would you be referring to?

I honestly can't think of another proposal that has been anything close to what most first world countries offer...

You have more than once expressed your dissatisfaction with this forum, going so far to say previously you were thinking about starting your own Blazer forum. It's obvious that it's not the Blazer content that you're not satisfied with. You seem to have an issue with and have made false accusations against the majority of non-white male members of this community.

I asked you a straight-up question, why are you here. If you are only looking for places where you can broadcast your personal political beliefs, a sports forum is not going to be the best place for that.

You used to be one of the biggest Blazer fans I know. I'd love to see more of that ABM.

You seem to have an issue with and have made false accusations against the majority of non-white male members of this community. You can put that accusation away immediately. HCP himself said if he didn't call me a racists, he should have. HCP flies off on many folks in here. He could be white, green, leoow, whatever. Still doesn't change what he's said and how he's regarded me. As far as dviss goes, he's a loose cannon and has gone off on many others in here, as well. Please don't use those two as an attempt to paint a disdainful picture of me in that regard.

I"ve been in here far before Trump was in the picture. No problems, no issues. It wasn't until people in here knew I was interested in Trump, and then voted for him, that things took a tremendous turn south. Does that mean I run off? Absolutley not! Recently, it's become a matter of principle. I have every right to state my opinions on my world views, abortion, BLM, LGBTQ, CRT, or anything else for that matter. And should be allowed to do so without repercussions and/or slanderish type remarks. I mean, right?

I still am a Blazer fan. If I lived in Portland I'm sure I'd be much more involved. Married life, moving, and other interests have had a role in me becoming less enthusiastic in that regard.

All this said, you still didn't have to trot out the ban word. Seemed a bit cancel culturish to me. I could be wrong.

If you hadn't noticed, I post a lot of interesting threads and conversation in here. Outside of anything political, controversial, or otherwise.

Any of the other D candidates plans. All the major candidates had something.

So? There's not a rule that we have to either do nothing or implement the same plan as another country. You and I might prefer something close to the latter, but that doesn't mean everyone does.

It's frustrating, but sometimes taking small steps is all that can be achieved. A small step can be much better than nothing. See, e.g., ACA.

It doesn't have to be a carbon copy of somebody else's. We're the wealthiest country in the world. Not having an equivalently beneficial healthcare system as much poorer countries is just disgraceful.

Not even proposing one should be a non starter. In fact, it should be criminal.

Same with our education system.

Proposing something that isn't going to get implemented for a long time, if ever, can be of value... but it's also of value to propose things that actually can get implemented in the short/middle term.

You go to the election with the voters you have, not the voters you might want or wish to have at a later time.
