I don’t want anyone knowing who I donate to or how much. Sorry I’ll never vote for anyone who wants to make that law.
There are records of how you vote, which is accessable to many government agencies upon request.

Why not have donations be handled the same way?

You obviously have not worked an election. There are not records on how i vote. Only records on what i say and do through social media and surveys which i don't do, and which party i am a member of.
My ballot has an envelope that has my signature. That is how they check if it's a legal ballot. Inside there is a green secrecy envelop. The two are separated. They have to be by law. There are people in place making sure nobody's ballot is logged or scanned just for that purpose.

They know what primaries you voted in. As well as your personal information, ssn, drivers license number, address, etc.

It would be very easy to make your donation just as "private".

So that has anything to do with "How I Vote"? You don't get it. By the way. Exactly who is "They"

It's public information in Oregon
Political parties may receive a list for free. Any person may request a list for a fee.

Name, party affiliation, residence or mailing address and precinct name/number, administrative number for an elector used by the Secretary of State to determine which elections an elector may vote in, telephone number.

If you vote in democratic primaries it's a safe bet how you vote...

I don't recall mentioning my Social Security Number or Drivers License number either?
You asked for clarification and that was included in the paragraph that backed up my point that your voting information is public in Oregon.

No I didn't. And no it isn't. I've worked elections. I know it is not public record. You are wrong. Again.

This guy is disgusting, and his daily BS was so odorous, I blocked him.

If anything the Democrats in the Senate and House are perhaps too bent on playing by the rules and being goody-goody, even if that's how it should be.

The Republicans could give a fuck about the rules, about candor. They refuse to cooperate and work across the isle. It's all their way or no way.

The Democrats are the ones who usually let in. They acquiesce to the demands of Republicans to get their bills through, in the hopes Republicans will likewise work with them in the future. But, the Republicans pull the rug again and again and refuse to work with the Democrats when it's their turn. They undo all the bills and regulations the Dems put in place. They give their rich buddies tax breaks and put the weight of that on a shrinking middle class. They have the lobby in their pockets, buying their votes.

That's not to say there aren't some Dems who are just as bad.
If you posted that on twitter, you would get a back lash from the Maga numbskulls.

So Democrats are just poor victims who get bent over by Republicans and can't fight back.

And that's why we should vote for them?

I think following the money sort of proves Dem incentives lie in letting Republicans get what they are asking for much of the time.

No, they can fight back. Unfortunately, they don't much do that. They need to learn to play hard ball. The Republicans aren't going to change their ways and trying to point a finger at their bullshit, doesn't really seem to work anymore to get votes.

There are definitely some Democrats who are incentivized by letting the Republicans get their way. But, I do believe there are more Dems than Republicans trying to do the right thing.

Yes, I think just by virtue of the stances Democrats take publicly, it leads more honorable and level headed people to be Dems than Republicans. For sure.

Fact is it kind of is about home ownership.
I own a home with some land in Clackamas County. Pretty close to the National Guard base.
If I decide to sell it most anyone can make an offer. If someone offers me twice the value in cash I’m probably going to take it.
