Is it just me or does every team that signs Boozer immediately start sliding into the toilet?

Boozer and Kaman on the floor at the same time might make the worst frontcourt in Blazer history.

It's not just you. I warned people here who wanted him when Chicago first signed him to stay away from him.
The majority of Utah fans were glad when he left.

Leonard at PF and Plumlee at C could start for us tomorrow; it's not a great team, but you have the year to gather assets and take on lopsided trades and picks to get better next year.

Plus we keep our pick the next two years if we are in the lottery; then Denver only gets a 2nd rounder from the Afflalo trade. A small silver lining but thank gosh Neil insisted on that so we aren't in a position that Brooklyn, New York or the Lakers are in next year.

Even now Robin is trying to help us. If the Bucks agree to a deal with him it removes our main competitor to signing Monroe.

S&T for John Henson? (trying wildly to salvage something)

We'd have to take more salary back than just a rookie contract. Think I might rather just get cap space.

I find it especially interesting because people have been complaining about not having a SG that can create off the bounce and get the rack...which is exactly what Henderson is. Nothing special, but we don't need special with McCollum, most likely, playing 25+ minutes a game.

A lot of Blazer fans want what we don't have. If we have a big defensive guard they want a smaller one that can dribble. If we have a good defender they want a player who shoots better threes. If we have a knock down shooter they want someone who is an elite passer.

Players aren't going to be elite at everything; otherwise we'd have a team of LeBron's. The trick is finding players with more positives than negatives; and negatives you can fit into the Blazers schemes.

I'm sorry but Vonleh is a lottery pick with extreme talent, to not get him any minutes would be foolish. He has a higher ceiling than any of our bigs.

He's 19. When he earns minutes that'll be great. Neil needs to assemble the roster assuming he is out of the rotation and when injuries happen or Vonleh earns those minutes we'll deal with the problem then. Last year we had major injuries to Wes achilies, Afflalo shoulder, LaMarcus' finger, Robins hand, Wrights arm and Kaman's ankle. Lets wait and worry about having too much depth from unproven players when it actually becomes a problem.

Isn't the only way LMA can go to Phoenix is through a S&T for the max right? They're short a couple million as it stands???

They just need to do a minor move; dump a Morris twin or a bad contract. They have 4 extra first round picks so it'll be far easier for them than the Spurs dumping Splitter.

Mavs losing all their free agents. They should've never broken up the 2010 title winning team. Ever since its been a mess of random new players each year.

Dallas' FA is going so bad that the only person left to sign is going to be Rondo!

Draymond Green 5 years 85 million

Also Sacramento just unloaded Landry and Thompson on the Sixers.

Nik Stauskas to Sixers.
Most knew that pick was a mistake but give SAC credit. They sure can't draft (TRob) but they are ahead of the curve on cutting bait with a prospect that won't work out at least.

Noooooo! Not Sacramento Wes, DONT DO IT!!!

10 mil anywhere else in the league > 15 mil in Sacramento.

@WojYahooNBA: The Kings clearing the salary cap space to pursue free agents Rajon Rondo and Wes Matthews, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

I have not heard one word about Portland being interested in Wesley. I wonder what they offered him, if anything at all.

Wes hasn't had a huge contract so if he can lock up $60 million I'd like to see him do it.

Hes such a hard worker I wouldn't be shocked if he was able to get Cousins to turn in the season of his life.

If Wes recovers they probably trade him to a winner in a year or two when they're still in the lottery. If Wes doesn't recover I'm glad he cashed in with another team. I'd feel bad if his injury cost him after all he'd give our franchise. But there won't be any fan guilt now. We've been so snakebitten by injuries I totally understand Paul Allen not wanting to gamble on another one.
