Not beaten down. SmartI'm so beaten down, when any "other" team is mentioned, I assume it's only as a destination for Herro.

Toronto is interested but Lillard's camp are focused on Miami. So, they are putting pressure on Portland and Miami to come to terms. They are bluffing by saying if Miami can't get their package to meet Portland's demands they will turn to Toronto. Kinda doubt Miami will buy it. The only way for this to work would be for Lillard to come out and say he'd consider other destinations, right?Bullshit. I refuse to believe only Miami is interested in Dame
If Giannis asked to be traded to Miami and Miami is lowballing Milwaukee, other teams won't stay on the sidelines
TorontoLet me guess, this is a Miami shill?
Yeah this is pressure on Miami not Portland.Um and that would be a good thing!

pride. he knows he can't stop joe from trading him anywhere but his pride stops him from backing out of his miami only stance, publicly.I just want Dame gone to ant team but MIA. This whole debacle has really really changed the way I view him. You never really know a sports star etc., but jesus he is starting to look like a douchebag. Why he is convinced he will win on MIA over all other teams with interest (now lost interest) in him is beyond me.
But he has publicly said he'd like Brooklyn as well as Miami when asked on that boxing show at the beginning of the summer...pride. he knows he can't stop joe from trading him anywhere but his pride stops him from backing out of his miami only stance, publicly.
Yes, publicly. Who knows what's really going on. Joe knows the most. Hopefully he isn't in a rush to make a trade just to get it done before training camp.pride. he knows he can't stop joe from trading him anywhere but his pride stops him from backing out of his miami only stance, publicly.
I like this trade. Barnes and Precious could be long term fits for us, and they are young and fit in with the timeline of our core. Boucher is good too. Trent is just a filler.
Raptors get to keep their precious OG and Siakam, Lillard gets to go play with the players he was wanting us to acquire via trade. I think both teams would be happy.

Don't see how there is pressure on Portland, Blazers are going to suck with or without Dame.
Teams will either offer real value for Dame and he gets traded or they will not offer legit value and he stays. Blazers aren't going to give him away for a poor return. They might be slightly willing to lose a bit in the trade to get a deal done, but no more than that. This is the biggest moment of Joe Cronin's career - he isn't going to rush to go down as the idiot GM who gave Dame away for scraps.
Blazers are totally prepared to bring Dame back to camp, ride this out to December/Deadline.... and possibly even consider keeping Dame until next summer. They'd prefer to do a trade sooner but there needs to be at least a single real piece. Can't name one very good thing in these Heat rumors.

The Blazers are, but is DL? Has he said he'll report? Genuinely asking.Don't see how there is pressure on Portland, Blazers are going to suck with or without Dame.

Knox can't be traded.I like this three-team trade that gets the Nurk for Ayton trade as part of things. I think it works for all teams and preserves some of Toronto's limited depth. Knox is there just for salary purposes. Creating a Core of Scoot, Sharpe, Simons, Barnes and Ayton is straight up delicious!

Maybe he wasn't, but something shifted in Ujiri's thinking. That makes me less wanting Barnes, but he's by far the best young piece I can imagine that is actually in the realm of remote possibility. I think Barnes has all the upside in the world and believe that he can correct the atrocious shooting and get it to the reasonable level. We need defenders who are switchable and Barnes is still fairly elite in that category, with Scoot's magic he could really flourish as a cutter especially if he has 2 of Sharpe, GTJ in my trade scenario(s) and Simons also on the floor out at the 3pt line. Barnes could really go off as a cutter in that environment.I feel like if Barnes was available, this trade would've been done already, also correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Toronto only have 2 first to trade?
That is a lot cleaner thanks! I think Barnes and a still young Trent while not the best haul, is also A) the best young player at a position of need no less, that is reasonably available (only due to all the Toronto rumors) and B) NOT Miami, which I value at a FRP or two at this point.Knox can't be traded.
This also puts Portland into the tax. Just send Thad Young to PHX
Dame doesn't have to say anything because everyone knows he'll report. He's a baller like Durant, he's not going to pull a Ben Simmons. The Blazers are, but is DL? Has he said he'll report? Genuinely asking.
