Trade Deadline: February 6, 2025

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

He's significantly more knowledgeable on the NBA and especially the new CBA and how it impacts the ability to trade then almost all of you here.
This guy you're praising just went on radio and seriously said that OKCs ownership sucks so why would anyone want to be like OKC.

You've been tricked

This year set us back 5 years.

Today set us back 5 years.

This is the year we look back in 2030 saying "this was the year we needed to lose all those games".

This win streak cost us minimum 5 years.

So why the all caps with question marks and exclamation points in your misleading post if you knew all along we weren’t doing anything?
Knowing we weren't doing anything absolutely justifies the caps and exclamation points.

Well then please bless us with your knowledge and help explain to the guys here the impact of the luxury tax aprons and draft picks.
I've chimed in plenty when needed or warranted on the CBA. Danny has been talking for like two weeks now about how restrictions e this nee cba was going g to be on moves and we've just seen one of the busiest deadli es, with some of the biggest names basically ever. So please, miss me with his fucking knowledge of the nba and the cba. He's an obnoxious asshat, and was back when he was posting on here.

I'd happily put my knowledge of the CBA up against his any day. And be very confident
I'd vote that yours is better than Marang as well.

I probably would have been above Marang years ago - I'm just not staying up to date on the changes the last 5-10+ years so very possible he now knows more than me.

I'm certain 90% of this board knows the CBA better than David Kahn and Dwight Jaynes ever did! Will never forget when the Wolves tried to use "implied cap space" to offer Batum an offer sheet only for the NBA to void it over being invalid.

Fun fact, Dwight Jaynes is the only person that has blocked me on twitter, because I called him out for his buddy Kahn not knowing how the cba worked.

NO one should EVER listen to Marang. He brings absolutely nothing to anything he says.

Pretty much like me.

I like how you give him credit for the vets with large contracts but none of the young bullish core and the fact we have the tallest team, the youngest team and arguably the most depth in the NBA.

You guys love conveniently leaving our important information in your quest for hate.
Can't speak for other posters - but I've routinely praised Cronin for draft picks as well as the Camara addition.

I had numerous posts about it - as if he's a "two face" where one type of actions are excellent that I would want from my GM - and the other type of deals or inactions are just horrific that I'd want to fire him for.

The one consistent criticism since the day Olshey has left is this team doesn't have a single strategy, direction, or timeline. Some of the moves are fine on their own but don't make any sense together to have a single franchise do. Trade youth for vets, trade vets for youth, etc. Need to pick a lane.

Just let it be, it's over with. .

Everyone is still here

Let's fucking win!

this team isn’t winning anything
I guess I’ll have to accept the fact I’m in the minority for being over being an irrelevant franchise with a ceiling of a first round exit for the foreseeable future

I'm hardly in the car/ listening. But when I am I'm usually too lazy to turn the channel. That's on me.

Simple - the Blazers under Cronin have collected a lot of shitty overpaid veteran contracts.

So today the Blazers have no room under the aprons to add draft picks as teams like the Wizards/Hornets/OKC/Jazz/Rockets/Nets/Bulls/Hawks/Spurs/Pelicans have all done.

If I'm in the car between 12 and 3 i put on dirt and Sprague. Anytime after that it's prime time. I haven't listened to 12-3 since AJ McCord left. She's lightyears better than Danny will ever be.

The Blazers have had a top-7 pick in the last three drafts and are said to be the tallest team in the league. during the win streak I think had the highest rated defense for that period. Isn't that some kind of lane?

I mean sure, but if thats the lane then how do Ant/Grant contribute to it long term? We need one area of focus with one goal and all of the teams moves should support that.

Strategic direction. We didn't have it with Dame and the dual timelines and we still don't have it today.

What about the Lakers move, they offered us a protected FRP or Dalton for Timelord but we insisted on an unprotected FRP. Again that's just a GM not competent enough to make a move to support the top7 picks you mention in the long term.

If our recent top7 picks are the future than our moves need to support those players. Not stick them on the bench behind entitled overpaid veterans their actually outplaying.

no it isn’t. If that’s the case, then you trade all your assets to go all in if you believe that’s sustainable
Did you see what stars were going for?.
Easily could’ve added a strong piece

Dirt and Sprague are in the morning. not 12-3.
I love Dirt and Sprague and Prime Time. I listen to their entire shows pretty much every day. I have it playing while I work and on my alexa speakers when I'm at home.
I too am not a big fan of the 12-3 show, Danny & Dusty.

The reason I am so upset is for Scoot and Sharpe cause if they still come off the bench then this is not a rebuild and Cronin should have the BALLS to say it not speak out of both sides of his ass. However Cronin has said this is a rebuild then does not back up that statement with actions instead he sits on his ass and allows Scoot and Sharpe to lose minutes on the bench to Grant and Ant two guys prolly not the future of the team. If the Cronin fans cannot get this fact then they are hopeless and I am not speaking to you fools anymore but for the rest this is why I am so upset and hope you get it now.

I think we probably win more games if we trade Grant/Simons. So that’s probably why we didn’t. I think Joe knows like everyone else one more high pick could be all it takes. Top of this draft is supposedly stacked.

Then the next one and the next one....

He can certainly throw his voice, can't he?

And if we count two that we traded for we have:
Four players drafted in the top 8 in the last 5 years (Deni)
5 players in the last 7 years (Ayton)

Our young guys, Shae, Scoot & Tou have been given decent minutes to date. I would expect them Scoot to jump from 26 to low 30's. Shae and Tou's minutes have been ok but also expect them play more second half.
