If we were offered pennies on the dollar then keep it rolling. We've had a history of shitty trades and some good ones.

In the midst of a pretty good run, i'm gonna go full RIP CITY and continue to pull for this team.

He said he owes to them to win. So we’re going all in on that play-in. So obviously not resting the vets.

If you’re going all in on the play-in I’d assume they have championship aspirations. I mean isn’t that the point of being in the playoffs?
 
More and more reports are coming out that one of the main reasons why the Mavs made the Luka trade and executed it on the down low is because they didnt want Luka's drinking problem to get dug up and reduce his trade value.

He said "It would be unfair to take it away from them... Go see what you can do... I'm here to support it." He never said he was "all-in" or anything like that.

He also said:
  • "the goal is continued growth."
  • "weigh the pro's and con's... what's the value of these vets?...how are we potentially hurting the young guys in their development."
He's never said he was going to tank at any point in any of the previous years we were the worst tankers in the NBA.

Chauncey is auditioning for his next job. Hoping he gets poached by another team. Bitter he wasn’t extended.

I do like Joe when I get to hear him talk out his thought processes. He is a little deliberate and risk averse but if he has his hooks in one more guy like Deni while being able to get off of Jerami's contract and if he just doesn't fuck up and give huge extensions to Ant and Deandre, he still might make this rebuild work. This wasn't the season to see how far away we are. Joe was wrong the players on this team didn't deserve to see just how far away from actual contention they still are, what they deserved was a legit chance at a superstar teammate. I don't think that was one of Joe's option but that fool whose picture is the first thing in my post might have royally fucked us. Let's hope not. Let's hope to see a lot of great play from our young guys and if we're not getting great lotto odds lets see if we can win a bunch of games and maybe have our guys play some games with a little more meaning in the play-in or even the playoffs. I think it's fair to say fuck Bert and I really wish Jody would have sold the team as soon as the new media rights deals were announced.

Well sir, they've left draft nerds like me who wanted to tank very little choice. So yeah, I'm back to enjoying games, especially if they keep playing with the character/intensity they've been showing as of late.
 
I'm pretty skeptical of this situation being laid at the feet of Kolde while absolving Cronin of responsibility. Did Kolde order Cronin to trade for Ayton after re-signing Nurkic, Grant, and Simons? Did Kolde tell Cronin to match the Thybulle offer sheet?

It wasn't that long ago there were lots of rumors about Paul Allen not letting Olshey do things he wanted to do and they very conveniently absolved Olshey of responsibility for dumb decisions. I never completely believed those rumors. And it makes me skeptical now about the latest version
