Eisenhower had 595 delegates out of 1206 in the first roll call, of the RNC in 1952...

Yep, Ike had 595, Taft had 500.
Taft had won six States , Ike won five.

Not exactly a convincing clear cut large difference.
They thought Taft was too conservative and Ike would have the better chance, AND, Taft was accused of stealing southern delegates from Ike.....hmmm....beginning to sound familiar with Teddy Cruz trying to pull a couple of fast ones on Trump...except (at this point) Trump has a fairly large decided lead....unlike Ike/Taft

Eisenhower - supreme commander from world war2 with a smallish lead in delegates.....a quite reasonable and acceptable outcome from that Convention.
Nothing nearly appearing outlandish or crooked.

...and oh, big difference in delegates between 1952 and 2016...math 101.

...and if Cruz or Kasich are breaking any rules, I'd like some examples.

Kasich - for the THIRD TIME, is currently in this race to siphon votes away from Trump and Teddy is all for it as they both are following the RNC's "anybody but Trump" playbook.

Remember, Trump today has called for hopeless Kasich to drop out of the race. Does this sound like a guy who is afraid to challenge Cruz head to head and is looking to "get out of the race"?

Think about it.....and no, of course there are no obvious rules being broken (thus far), and I also don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows....and neither do many other Americans.
Stop trying to be coy.....I know you're smart and playing the game.
This mean spirited anti-Trump campaigning conducted by the Republican Mainstream is going to backfire on them especially if Trump continues to hold a sizeable lead and enters the Convention with a sizeable lead - meaning hundreds of more delegates.

We'll see how things shake out. Either way, the sun will come up.

...yeah, the "pattern" is that I think Trump is a spoiled rude misogynist bully who's not fit to be president...clear it up any?

...if this is news to you, then you have not been paying attention. And if my anti-Trump links rattle your cage and are a source of angst for you, you'll just have to live with it...and Kasich believes he can win...if that's not being too "coy".

...still waiting for examples of Cruz/Kasich breaking any rules.

..."the Trump train will derail"...again, live with it.

I have no problem whatsoever with your negative opinion of Trump or the links you post - I welcome the opportunity to express my rebuttals when I feel necessary and I kinda find some of these draconian opinions of Trump rather humorous.

Seems to me, and I could be wrong - when the left-liberal publications and pundits attack Trump, it means they fear him...as in him beating their ordained Queen Hillary.
The question: why aren't those liberal pundits and lefty outlets criticizing Cruz anywhere near what they say about Trump?
After all, Cruz DOES have a fair chance to gain the 1237 delegates and it may be common knowledge he could be the favorite to gain the nomination at the convention even if he's way behind Trump in delegates. Cruz is a far right ultra conservative who doesn't even believe in abortion in cases of rape ect.....
They don't fear Cruz because he'll be easy pickings in the general election vs Hillary.
He is poison in most states which aren't dead Red States.
My opinion, no way far-right Prez candidates win the general election in 2016 and the foreseeable future unless a quirky unforseen calamity or disaster arises close to election time....or some kind of October surprise crippling the Democrat's chances. jmho

...and your views of Cruz and/or Kasich has not been somewhat "draconian"?...please.

...do I really need to go back and copy and paste to refresh your memory?....."people who live in glass houses..."

C'mon '59, my criticism of Cruz and Kasich isn't exaggerated or draconian. I have repeatedly called Cruz an ultra conservative who appears to me as also being too rigid and inflexible. For crissakes sales he's against abortion in ANY case- rape, incest AND the health of the woman at stake. Is this NOT an ultra-conservative and a far right opinion? He's entitled to it, and it's mainly due (according to him) his religious beliefs. It is what it is.....and when they point out Trump's unfavorable ratings amoung women - how the heck do you think Cruz will do amoung women in an election vs Hillary?
Plenty of parents who have daughters, plenty of sisters and mothers...
"against abortion under ANY circumstances". I'm afraid I too disagree with his stance on this hot button issue. And he's bringing his religion into the equation. Now am I being draconian, unfair and irrational in my opinion? Is he not far right of center? I've also said he seems like a good guy.....he's just a bit too far over to the right imo to beat just about any run of the mill DEMOCRAT in the election and he has already shown tendencies of being unable to WORK WITH his colleagues in the Senate.
The guy is too rigid, imo.....that's my assessment......is this an outrageous exaggerated opinion? If you think so, that's fine, your opinion.

As for Kasich, I've called him "wishy washy" and he doesn't (imo) stand tall and decisive on any one singular "main" issue. And at this point he's only staying in the race to help deny Trump getting to 1237 and hopes to somehow be a significant player in a contested Convention.

I don't believe I've labeled either Cruz or Kasich an idiot, facist, Hitler, racist or unstable to the point of destroying America as is the case with much of the criticism of Trump on this board.

I have said - months ago, I simply believe and convinced Trump (when the dust settles and IF he's the president) is just as able and capable of as any of the others from both partys. jmo

I know Trump is crude and rough around the edges as a campaigning candidate....I just am not buying into the narrative that he'll be insulting foreign leaders on their appearance or facial looks while he's on the phone or in meetings with them.
One of the best kept secrets (lol) is this guy has friends and business associates all over the world and probably has more worldly experience and familiarity with countries than the rest of the field.

Cruz and Kasich are, and have been professional politicians their whole adult life...they specialize in TALKING.....

Republicans have had control of both Houses for a while and Obama has managed to get just about everything he wanted in his budgets including the latest disaster costing 4 billion with money already set aside for future immigrants and Syrian refugees...and the Republican majority wouldn't, couldn't even get "Kate's Law" passed.
An utter DISGRACE!

So if Trump thinks Cashman and his plan are stupid.... Does someone's head explode?

Andrew Breitbart where have you gone, this wouldn't even be a convo had Breitbart not passed too young, he'd of carved Chump up like a Turkey on Thanksgiving Day...

How so? Concerning what? Please elaborate.
Do you think he might've had a thing or two to say about the other significant candidate?
Just wondering, how would he handle Cruz' emphatic proclamations about tearing up the Iran deal, overturning all of Obama's executive actions, ordering the DOJ to investigate Planned Parenthood (on what grounds?), ALL ON HIS FIRST DAY IN OFFICE,
.....and abolishing the IRS and having tax payers fill out their taxes on an index card and then overturning Obama care.

This is from a guy who was famously known for NOT being able to work with his colleagues in the Senate- and in the words of Lindsey Graham who later endorsed Cruz. lol

“I was asked the hardest question in my political life: Do you agree with Donald Trump that Ted Cruz is the biggest liar in politics?” he said. “Too close to call.”

“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,”
Graham said, referencing the Tea Party senator’s unpopular reputation with his colleagues.

...but yeah, quoting other people making over the top statements is not "draconian". (rolls eyes)

Ted Cruz edges closer to Donald Trump

APRIL 4, 2016, 6:31 PM|The CBS News battleground tracker shows Ted Cruz has a six-point lead over Donald Trump heading in to a possibly game-changing primary in Wisconsin. Over the weekend, Cruz also topped Trump in Colorado and North Dakota. Major Garrett reports.

She's such a smug ass lying bitch who flip-flops more than any other politician I've ever seen. Its really no wonder why Sanders is catching her.

...I have 2 questions...1. When is the FBI going to come forward on Hillary?...2. Why won't Trump disclose his tax records?

that bitch has hid more than the Easter Bunny...
