You don’t actually think that any fanbase is 100% without bad eggs?

Never said that.

It's just that the "bad eggs" finally took some effect. Lol. It's gonna be a nothingburger, anyway

You don’t know me very well

I love debate. If Dame was open to an actual discussion, I would love to have it. I’m capable of arguing either side of the debate though.
Is that why you didn’t stick around long writing article on that site?

Raptors fans think they can get #3, Sharpe and Simons for freaking Siakam. Hahaha

Ridiculous.....who are the Dame haters? Please identify them. Is there a debate over the direction of the future of the franchise? Sure...and there should be. But "untouchable" is certainly a personal opinion. FAR better players have been traded. All for the debate, but seriously, you are a better poster than to have to resort to random generalized accusations of "haters" that can "f right off".

Who are the specific "haters". I'd like to see the actual list of people who hate Dame.
you didn't need to make a general rant post personal...anyone who is lobbying to trade Dame right now is in complete opposition to how I feel about the franchise and how important he is to it so yeah...I'm saying people tired of the Dame era can F right off..I want him to own the team..it's fine if you find my loyalty to him ridiculous or my rant not specific enough for you..I've said many times that if they traded this guy they'll lose me as a fan.

OKC "7 years of rebuild" had them in the playoffs in 2020. So during this time they've had two years of lottery, one playin year, one playoffs, and won 3 playoff games.

Blazers had had two years in the lottery, two in the playoffs, and have won the same 3 playoff games.

We have the same playoff success as rebuilding teams but without the rebuilding assets. Why not accomplish the same thing but keep all our young assets and picks for the future?
The Thunder weren't in a full rebuild until CP3, Shroder and Gallo left and I don't necessarily see them as a team destined to contend. Houston's rebuild didn't start until right around the same time and they're even further away from knowing if they'll even create a playoff team let alone a contender. Detroit hasn't had a playoff win in 14 years.

These are the reasons why I would prefer to try and put the best roster around Dame that he's had in his career before hitting that reset button but I do think hitting that button has to be an option otherwise it diminishes the value of the assets we can use to put that roster around Dame.

Not agreeing or disagreeing but he can still own the team even if he were to be traded.

I was in that camp for a long time of never trading dame and I definitely still lean towards that, I've softened up a bit and like I said, if we were to trade dame, Joes the wrong GM to do it with. And no, I have no idea what GM I would want to do it lmao. It's just a weird AF time to be a fan of the team right now lol

Dame is the only draw this franchise has for free agents and it's just kicking in since his time with team USA....he's talking with allstars about coming to Portland...you don't trade that away if you're a smart GM...folks who want a youth movement should enjoy the new G league team. In my view Dame is just getting started....I'd call a hater anyone who would petition for him to be traded

Jerami Grant...team USA teammate..he's here to play with Dame...not for the weather

This seems pretty simple

A. The Blazers WILL trade the pick
B. What teams are in reset mode? What teams have 27-30 year old wings or PFs that are either disgruntled or the team is smarter than us and realizes they should capitalize on their player that doesn’t fit their new timeline

Legit looking for guidance because that would be the type of player we will be targeting
I agree they are going to trade it. As far as I can see, Siakam is the only one remotely possible. He has said he loves Toronto so would have to be the club that decides. If I was Toronto I would keep him and try to add guards.

I think the loudness of the trade Dame chatter on social media can be directly attributed to the onslaught of Toronto fans pushing the horrible idea of Siakam/OG.

Blazer Twitter is now pushing back with keeping the pick is much better than appeasing Dame’s desire for vets. It’s rare that this team gets this high of a pick. Trading it for a non-superstar is nauseating.

Can anyone remember the last time a top three pick was traded for a star?

Could be. Makes sense not to give up on a player who has started to look like the real deal.
Unlike Dame, Ball is long and can defend multiple positions. The dude is also only 21 so I think there is a great chance that they could identify either Scoot or Miller as a great guy to play with LaMelo for a long time. Unlike us (if we're keeping Dame) the Hornets have no reason to be in a mindset of winning now at all costs. Like everything else though, we'll just have to wait and see.

The potential of getting a haul at 3 is rising as Miller & Scoot's value goes up. I'm really getting excited about the hype on these two players. It makes that pick so much more valuable. And potentially be able to get more for it. Then you still have Ant & those future 1st to get another super quality addition.

Would love to get Wagner, 6 and 11. Portland is more than 1 player away and needs assets and length. Get Hendricks at #6 and the other Miller (Leonard) is shooting up and some scouts have him going as high as #10 or #11. That would be adding two 6'9" guys and one 6'10".

And while I like Wagner, defensively he is not great, while Miller is reported to be able to guard up to 4 positions. Hendricks would be another player with length and defensive chops that can also stretch the floor. We get length, we add defense, we have offensive versatility (L Miller really came on late) and those are inexpensive contracts for years to come. Add that to Sharpe and that is an exciting roster that would be about as good as we had the last 2 years, but with MUCH more potential and future Cap flexibility.

Hendricks is actually who I too would target at 6. BPA at 11. Wagner could always be flipped. But there will be a very good player there at 11 and we have the Schmidt to do player evaluation. We could certainly get Wagner, 6 and 11 for the 3 if Scoot is available and as I said, we could sweeten the deal with 23 or second rounders.

Seriously? How was it personal? I quoted exactly what you specifically said. That would almost mean you were personal against yourself? My goodness.

And it certainly didn't answer the question about who the Dame "haters" were that you referred to who could f-off.

He been talking about getting an all star ever since Paul George, Jimmy butler, and Kawhi Leonard were available. Grant is not an all star and was lucky to be on that team USA. GP2 was overpaid to come here and immediately left. We have overpaid every free agent starting from Evan Turner. No free agents have come to just play with dame, they’re all getting paid more than they expected

I'd love to add both Wagner and Hendricks to this roster. Three young 6'9-10 guys combined with Sharpe, I would actually be fine running it back with an upgrade at C.

This being said, if I was the Magic, I'm not sure if I would do Wagner, #6, and #11 for #3 and #23.

It might be pie in the sky stuff but at least it's not proposing to get Bridges for a six pack and a pizza.

Dame haters I addressed...anyone who would petition the franchise to trade him to start..

Can anyone remember the last time a top three pick was traded for a star?

In a pre-draft trade on June 9th, 1980, the Boston Celtics traded the draft rights to the 1st pick (Joe Barry Carroll) and the 13th pick (Rickey Brown) in the 1980 NBA Draft for center Robert Parish and the rights to the 3rd pick in the NBA draft (Kevin McHale).

McHale and Parish both went on to Hall of Fame careers while playing major roles in 3 championship roster on the Boston Celtics. The Celtics won their first of three champions the season right after the trade. Instantly, they had arguably the best frontline in NBA history. The Celtics success in the 1980’s is incredible. They won 3 titles, and won at least 50 games in 11 out of 12 seasons from the trade in 1980 to 1992.
