I really wonder how many of these playoff games have been won by the teams who have done better shooting the three. Seems like most of them

Celtics fans are shredding brown.
If they are in on Scoot and he's there at #3 would be the rationale imoWhy would Orlando do that?
to think he will leave ~50 mil on the table and an extra year guaranteed by leaving boston is a stretchHe's a FA. If he wants out well...what can they do?

As long as he shows up in the playoffs I'm good with it.Disagree, multiply the drpg pct by the percent of games played for a real impact...
Ayton grabbed about 300 more rebounds than nurkic last year.
Per game stats are useless when the player doesn't play that much
imma pass on Brown. Thank you but no
Another question to ask is: What other offers will Boston receive that is better than #3?Brown is basically the same size as Sharpe (about an inch taller, but an inch shorter reach). He's definitely more accomplished than Sharpe is, but as he's become more of a volume shooter, his three point percentage has gone down each of the last two years.
Dame-Sharpe-Brown is a nice 1-3 combination, but I don't think he's a big enough step up in the long run over Simons to be worth adding the #3 pick, too, and I can't imagine the Celtics not wanting both of those assets as a starting point.
Is there a way to get Brown using the pick and filler? I want to use Ant/Nurk to go get something else. Frankly I don’t think Brown is worth the third AND Simons.I'm glad there is dissension about whether or not Jaylen Brown is worth Ant and pick 3. I definitely think that he is and would do the move in a heartbeat but I can see why some on here think he's not good enough to command that price. This probably means if he demands a trade that Ant and pick 3 will be enough. I do like the idea that it's Ant, Nurk and pick 3 for Brown and Robert Williams... that would give us a very switchable team on offense and a lot off moving parts on D.

He also plays substandard defense.Brown might be overrated as fuck, last thing I want is a no heart passive max player we give up the 3rd pick for.
I didn't say that. Just not a fan of Brown.Don't want Dame to ever play with another All-NBA player?

Not just for you, but for everyone else who mentions Pritchard, and I've seen it a lot on here, would you have any interest at all in him or even know who he is if he wasn't from here and go to the UofO? I keep seeing him listed as a great option for backup PG for us, but he really seems like much more of a spot up shooter bench player than an actual pass first PG that people clamor for. His career AST% is lower than what Simons gives us at SG, and everyone says Simons is a ballhog who doesn't pass.At bare minimum, I'd love to get Payton Pritchard out of the deal as a hard-nosed backup for Dame.
Blazers don't have enough salary outside of Ant/Nurk to make that trade. Brown's salary is 28.74M. so 28.74/1.25 = a shade under 23M. Assuming Sharpe is off the table, that only leaves about 15M in Little, Knox, Keon, Watford, & Walker (I haven't heard if the new CBA has adjusted those trade differential percentages from the current 175% (<6.533M)--->5M (6.533m-19.6M)--->125% (>19.6M))
that answer might be here but I haven't read it all yet:

at minimum, one of Ant/Nurk would be integral to any major trade.
is Brown worth the 3rd pick? I don't know, maybe? He was a 3rd pick himself and it's pretty accepted the Celtics did well taking Brown at 3. But then, they got 4 years of Brown on a rookie scale deal, and that's significant value. Portland wouldn't be getting that if they traded 3 for Brown. On the other hand, the Celtics essentially paid to develop Brown into the player he is
as far as 3+Ant...I don't believe adding Ant escalates the value of that trade much over that of the 3. Especially for Boston as Ant is kind of an anti-Celtic in that he's a defensive sieve
personally, I'd say Siakam is not worth the 3+Ant (+ more salary); Brown may be worth the 3 + Ant; Bridges is worth the 3+Ant (barely)
I certainly don't think any of those players is worth 3 + any future 1st's. Bridges may be the closest, but here's the thing about Bridges: we have nearly 400 games of him being a high-level role player and only about 30 of him being a star. What Bridges is the real Bridges? Is he actually somewhere between?

Man! There are many in here that raved about his defense . To be honest, there really aren't very many good , consistent, defenders in the League. Jrue Holiday, Mikal Bridges, Pascal Siakam, and Giannis are the only ones that stand out. There are good defense only guys like Matisse Thybulle. But few both way quality players. He also plays substandard defense.

I liked what i saw in Skylar Mays against good competition last year. He's young as well. And i like his ability to facilitate way more than Ant's.Not just for you, but for everyone else who mentions Pritchard, and I've seen it a lot on here, would you have any interest at all in him or even know who he is if he wasn't from here and go to the UofO?
