M. Pineda (5-10, 5.13)

vs.

J. Tomlin (11-3, 3.43)

Lineups to follow...

Pineda, Oh shit ......has he gone south in his progress. Like Eovaldi, has great velocity
but not a clue where his pitches are going! Not a plan for a possible elite pitcher.
What we wind up with is just a very ordinary pitcher. May wind up the same
road taken by Ivan Nova......if he doesn't turn his game around.

Yankees need much work on pitching. Every start from someone not named Tanaka means we look for a fold in the 5th or 6th, sometimes sooner. Ditto the "long" pen though it looks like Sevey and Warren are stabilizing that area. We know the Indians can mash, we know Pineda is pitching, end result could be lethal. Be nice to see the Yankees get two of three. Look for Cleveland to hustle though, the Tigers are chewing on their tails.

Gardner -LF
Ellsbury -CF
Teixeira -1B
McCann -DH
Headley -3B
Castro -SS
Sanchez -C
Refsnyder -2B
Hicks -RF

maybe we will see someone piss on Miller's parade; today...!

Hey did Rick pass away? Anyone checking obits?

Tex announcing his retirement must have Rick overwhelmed.

Love the offense. Especially by the kids. Wish Gardner could take notes! :rotfl:

Looks like Barbato is trying to be the company fuck up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now 11-7 Yanks, and two runners on base for Cleveland....yeesh.
Okay- Warren douses the fire. Minimizes damage after coming in with bases loaded and none out.
Excellent job by Warren.

Barbato sure can implode quickly. It all started with a walk.
This kid has good strikeout stuff, but he also has serious control problems and loses command of his breaking ball.

these wise guys picked one helluva time to pick up the pace; with their bats....everyone gets a hit day....

or is the Pitching that bad....?

If this 7/11 lead gets blown, there will be tickets given out to those who loiter the field....a DFA, or DUI....

Strange shit tonight, two Yankee hitters drew IBB, Ellsbury ad some hits, ditto Tex, Castro with a salami, even Hicks had a bomb. As the Dells once sang, "Oh What A Night"

Your right Michael, strange night indeed just proves to me how bad the middle relievers really are. Oh well at least they won.

By subtracting the Indians 11-1 record against Detroit in 2016 against there overall record they come out a bit exposed. Last year the Indians took 5/7 against the Yankees putting a crimp in the Yankee run. With the win tonight the Yankees have cinched the season series and with tonights loss and a Detroit win, the Indians can feel the teeth of the Tiger on their hind ends. Payback is a bitch!

Amen

Yankees post game show highlighted Castro's 4 bagger......... Then went straight to the minor league
players who excelled in their games. In the past the emphasis was always on the parent club.......forget
about the kids on the farm. Not so anymore. YES giving the fans on what the future will
look like. It's about time. Now there are names we can get excited about.

Just an aside..........Yankee fans already know how to check on the kids on
the farm.....but YES is on board. Interesting.

If Colon's calling A-Roid Daddy, then Castro is calling Manny m Daddy; the way he stands a step outside the box, stares, doesn't run, watching HR's; and when a long ball falls short, the player looks like a lazy ass....
Not a good habit to get into, watching balls in play without being on the move....

Tex this Bud was for you, the team's fare thee well game, hits on the house all around.

Tex- "I'm going back to my plough, back to the howlin' old owl in the woods".....

"There's nothing you can say
To make me change
My mind"
