The only reason Trump won in 16 it was a vote more against Hillary than for Trump.
I guess you could be right if Joe runs and people think he's to old and struggling?
Seems the two parties dont give a shit about age or competency....

I don't know. I'm not sure if the country would survive another 4 years with Trump. In fact, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't.

It's not worth the risk. I'd rather joe win and die in office than risk an unknown. I'm pretty sure Biden will beat Trump. Like 95% sure.

I think anyone would beat Trump, if he's even the nominee.
 
Dems have plenty of young capable possibilities, like Jefferies or Newsom, they would beat any republican nominee. The one dem that could lose might be Joe, if he runs against someone other than trump because of his age?

I'm not the biggest fan, but from a pure aesthetic perspective, Gavin Newsom should be the guy to run against Trump. Biden is likely to lose.

The leadership? Sure, he's a safe pick for them. The conundrum is how do they get Gavin Newsom in there and skip Kamala Harris altogether? They've painted themselves in a corner and it's going to be really hard to get out.

Lol. Kamala Harris is so unpopular... but she sold out in an instant. So I guess that's why they like her.

She'd also lose to Trump. Her polling is worse than Biden's if you can believe. No point in trading out Joe if you can't get past Kamala. Newsome is the guy if you want to win.

Just read an article about seven artists over 70 still going strong. Willie Nelson, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Stevie Nix, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Walsh.

Im 73 and still going strong but to be honest I wouldn't be able to keep pace with what it takes to run a company effectively anymore. Not that I wouldn't know the ropes and couldn't go through the motions, but the drive and focus isn't the same. Sure, deledumping and being a figure head/puppet for the others would be possible.

Trump is hemorrhaging campaign money on various legal issues while Joe is stacking up donations and biding his time. Roe's reversal and public's disdain for Trump & MAGA in general has voters chomping at the bit and Democrats over performing in election after election. The economy continues to improve as daily public humiliation of damning court cases loom.

Things that could derail this momentum are some sort of medical flareup(s) or worse or OPEC raising oil prices through the roof.

Not saying it won't or can't happen, but the most likely case for a GOP win is the youth vote. And if you watch the interviews of the younger voters (18-26ish), there is a large # of them who are Trump supporters who tend to either be brainwashed lemmings OR trust fund type babies (i.e., parents are rich, they are entitled).

That's not to say that the younger voters who are DNC leaning aren't lemmings in their own right, but at least the things they're fighting for or arguing for, tend to benefit people instead of control them.

The DNC message is resonating *more* with younger voters than the GOP message is. That's where the election will be won or lost. Whether or not the younger voters vote is the key.

There is absolutely no reason for them to squeeze tho, they're *already* getting record profits. If they try to increase the cost too much, it'll have an adverse reaction.

They're playing it smart, because they know a slow increase in price is much easier for Americans (and other countries) to swallow.

It's horse shit (especially how the west coast prices are significantly higher than anywhere else), but it's smart business.

Ringo is 83 and he is touring all the time..he just had a fall on stage recently but he's fit for a guy Biden's age. Like Paul he credits 50 some years of being vegan with his health.
 
Ringo had a fall, picked himself up and kept performing. I have always loved Ringo.

I don't think it matters if he's fit. As long as he'll beat Trump. If he won't beat Trump get somebody in who will.

Biden being brain dead with his cabinet is far better than having Trump in office. Far, far less damaging.

I don't mind the insults, it's the blind eye they throw in Trumps direction that gets me. Like, I don't know a single person who is giddy about Biden being president in the manner that MAGA are about Donald Trump just existing. There are no flags with Biden cos playing as Rambo, or weird AI generated paintings of Biden with ripped muscles, etc.

And if he gaffes, most people go 'well, he is old, but it's not really a major issue" vs "HE DID NOT MESS UP!" or claim he's speaking in code or just flat out ignore it and gas light the fuck out of people that the MAGA people do.

Yah, there are concerns with his age, and yah, he's made a few blunders...but when people bring those up (and ignore Trumps significantly larger amount of them), it's like seeing a crack addict ridicule someone who someone who likes sweets.

The other is legit evil who is trying to weaken the US and become like Putin, Xi, and Un, and who caused the US to have it's democracy rating downgraded 3 times during a single presidential term.

Unfortunately I have no choice but to vote against evil on this one. The literal survival of our country is in the balance.

The GOP needs to die.
