I was told if I didn't vote for Biden I'd get authoritarianism. Looks like we got it anyway and it didn't require Trump.

Kudos to Biden and his failed administration.
 
America's congress may literally be the most corrupt and cruel entity to ever exist. Yet the "best" argument I can get from humans is... throw away all of your morals, as well as your humanity, hold your nose and vote for the lesser of two evils.

If this is what it means to be human: To care, but only when it doesn't... burden me or my party. You can have it. When patriotism means: "Dude, look the other way". You can have it.

Americans clearly don't care if America even lives up to it's own standards. Which leave me asking myself one question: Since people don't care in the first place, why should anyone ever care what their opinion is?

Actively funding is not the same as "starting". Funding and supporting the defense of Ukraine is what the good guys do. Of course I fully support that.

Israel is more complicated. However I wish we were doing more to end that conflict. Allowing our allies to commit those acts against innocent civilians is wrong.

But Biden didn't start either of these conflicts.

I don't remember police kidnapping innocent protesters under Biden?

I don't remember the secret service kicking the shit out of civilians to clear a space for Biden to do a Bible photo opp?

What acts of authoritarianism has Biden committed that are as blatant as Trump?

I wish to learn how to argue a point that is unrelated to anything people say. Where do I sign up for that?
 
On every OT forum I post on, democrats were fine with me... while I was posting against republicans and Trump. Republicans were fine with my views on the trans issue. Only because of their false belief that I hate them like they do. So it went both ways. But, as soon as I showed my opinion on democrats and Biden, democrats went as ape shit as a conservative. It turns out, democrats don't like being shown the truth about their party anymore than republicans do.

This is why I see no difference between a democrat and a republican. And most likely never will.

I used to defend the democrat party before 2016. It was that year, that I saw their true colors. And haven't been able to unsee them ever since. Like it or don't like it. I don't follow evil. Never will. So don't ask me to.

One last thing: If people don't like what I have to post. As I always say: Intelligent people use the ignore function. That is what it is there for.

What an absolutely silly remark. Humans have been in existence for tens of thousands of years and have never ceased killing or otherwise shitting on each other. So to answer your "question", yes, in general it is too difficult for humans to learn morals. But some us try on an individual basis. Maybe someday we will ascend to your lofty plain.........
 
If you are an absolutist, you'll never be happy with any political party or system of government. Which is fine, you don't have to be.
Politics is, by definition, a series of compromises. That's what it is.
If you expect it to be something else, you are the one who isn't understanding the situation.

I've never used the ignore function. On any site. I don't hold grudges or judge people based on their Internet posts.

I don't need a safe bubble which only reinforces my personal views. I appreciate and enjoy discourse and debate with those who have opposing views. The only way society can improve itself without debate among opposing views is authoritarianism (even though it likely wouldn't be better and it certainly wouldn't last and would devolve into a horror story).

I oppose authoritarianism more than pretty much anything else and that's why I vote.

You don't see peaceful protestors on campus getting beaten and arrested? Neo-Nazis have been protesting on campuses for decades without an issue. In fact, they were protected by police for exercising their freedom of speech right.

As far as I've seen, that's local, not federal. Biden doesn't run the NYPD.

Not by federal agents. If you have some evidence of that please share the link.

The examples I shared were federal agents under the direction of the president of the United States.
 
A recent poll came out about Biden's historically low 38% approval rating. But the fact that 38% of the country is stupid enough to still support him is a sign of how fucked we are.

I know - I'm thinking about getting professional help so I can understand why it is that I don't understand. I mean what's not to like about a misogynistic, racist, egotistical megalomaniac who want's to be president?

There are actual, tangible, real life issues and policies that affect people outside of your own personal disdain for one man’s unsavory character flaws. It may not be ideal, but some people are willing to sacrifice good character in order to afford groceries and a place to live, or not have to watch an old racist stumble around while his handlers push him (and us) down the path to ww3.
